No doubting that. Didn't they attempt this earlier in the decade too? That failed miserably.
Ironically "those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it"
Don't most people consider the American version of The Office to be superior to it's UK contemporary?
I like it. But the first season of the American version was, word for word, scene for scene, identical
Tanner Foust is gonna be worse than the nascar analyst because every time they go to do anything involving driving a car he will immediately try to drift it.
and?
It is awesome... :v:
Does anyone have a site that I can watch Top Gear Episodes (US).

finalgear.com offers downloads.
I feel sorry for you America.
I've honestly never heard of Adam Ferrara.
Tanner's driving career started early when he was fired from his job driving a ski resort bus for drifting across the parking lot.
HA. I'd like to see that.
Tonight is the premier for TG America. Anyone going to watch it? I'm not.

Neither have I, but they probably just chose him 'cause his name sounds like "Ferrari".
Please stop ruining our programmes, America.
even if it's shit i'm still going to watch the series because if they ruin top gear its still going to be better than all the other car shows on american television
Well, I'm definitely going to try Top Gear America. I doubt it'll be any good, but it deserves a try.
I'm going to watch it out of fear of how much they will mess it up. Or may actually be alright I guess I'll find out in 3 hours.
I'll watch it tomorrow after I watch The Walking Dead.
I feel like I'm the only one watching this right now.
Didn't think the US version would have the stig...or a stig.
Yea I had to choose between this and the walking dead.
I really don't like the American Version. The hosts are really boring. The large host with the beard and the glasses is annoying. The American Stig is bad and slow. But the studio and the track are about 5 minutes away from my house.
I doubt it'll ever be as good as the UK version, good thing there's BBC America.
Just finished watching the first episode of the American version. It's definitely not as good as the original, but it's not nearly as bad as I was expecting it to be.
I think over time, once they finally get their own style going, it could be almost as good as the original. As far as the hosts go, I don't really care about any of those guys other than Tanner Foust, I feel like he actually knows what he's talking about. (And I've seen him drift several times.)
Next weeks episode does look funny as hell though. Driving with a blind person.
Adam ferrara is terrible. He is so boring and unfunny. At least Tanner Foust and glasses guy are interesting.
Plus Ken Block is the stig.
I imagined the entire US TopGear episode in Clarkson's voice.
That made it ten times better.
It isn't as fun without the sarcastic englishmen.
Pianos will no longer be dropped on Morris Marinas.
This is why Top Gear US will never be the same as UK Top Gear.
They havent done a special episode yet (as in their episode long challenges across a country) so i suppose the season finale will be that. I hope so anyway. It be a shame to go a season without one. Unless they save it for later on in the year when they film the winter episodes of this season.
Would so want a recreation of Around the World in 80 days.
I watched a video of one of their "pranks." They put a fog machine in one of the guy's trailers, to pretend it was on fire. That's fucking lame compared to what the guys on the UK show would do to the trailer.
Top Gear US' Stig?

Would also love a collaboration of all the shows, it would just be Jeremy Clarkeson mocking all the other ones.
The US version sounds vastly inferior to the original.

Yeah, it's pretty obvious that they're new to this. Give them time and Top Gear USA should be alright.

Honestly he's probably the best of the 3. Maybe I'm just saying that because they showed him the least in that episode.
The problem with Top Gear USA is they took all the humor out of the show. The hosts in top gear US try to be cool while the UK hosts try to be funny.
Also the US hosts never say anything bad about the cars. I have a feeling the SLS AMG will be described as perfect, since every commercial break they remind us that "Top Gear is brought to you by Mercedes Benz"

It was definitely as good or better at it's peak, though now they should have ended it before it started to get stale, like the UK version did.
Hah I'm in America and I'm watching Top Gear (UK) on neflix.

I get BBC America, so that's the only way I can watch it.
