I like the way there using the Tron soundtrack... YES! A awesome challenge...
Fuck, I missed it.... Come on iPlayer, get it on there.
In my opinion Top Gear has been getting progressively worse, I cant remember the last time I watched a series I really enjoyed, it certainly hasn't been the last 3-4 series. It feels like they try too hard now to be funny and recycle a lot of challenges etc. I much preferred it when they did the semi-serious road tests. It feels like its been ages since they've done a proper road test of a car that some of us might actually own in our lifetimes instead of just supercar supercar supercar which gets pretty boring. OK yes they did a 3 car hot-hatch shoot out this episode but it wasn't a proper test it was just an excuse to do some more arbitrary "challenges". I just hope they go back to how they were 5 or 6 seasons ago when I think they got the balance of serious test to comedy perfect, and the comedy didn't feel so heavily scripted back then either it felt like 3 blokes dicking about.

The concept of the show is that it seems semi-scripted. I see nothing wrong with that. It's still very funny even when they're trying to be. I get annoyed by similar 'reviews'. A lot of people were moaning about the E-Type celebration being over-stated. That was the point. They were making up for the lack of publicity and making people proud of a British icon.

Gah, when's the season premiere on BBCA :(
I was disappointed to only see Italian and French hot hatchbacks.

If they reviewed family saloons and people carriers it would be boring as shit. It's an entertainment programme not factual.
Top Gear was pitched as a Comedy Entertainment show with cars. It's just with cars, not about cars. At least that's how Jeremy had pitched it repeatedly. It's really a show About some tall old bloke, a short man, and a man with no sense of direction or speed.
This episode makes me want a hot hatch real bad.
id rather have the BMW 1M, its pretty much everything you need in a car.
But it costs so much more. Something like the VW Scirocco is more comparable (Why did my parents have to get rid of that car :( )
I love watching these old episodes of Top Gear. Ben Collins was in another race in Series 5 Episode 2. It's funny watching him now knowing he's The Stig.
I was disappointed to only see Italian and French hot hatchbacks.
There aren't many other 'lairy' ones, apart from maybe the Corsa VXR
It's on BBC America.
it's not new [editline]5th July 2011[/editline] do they air new episodes?

It seems like they haven't really had anything like that in the last few seasons. damnit
the thing that upsets me most is how short the series are becoming. Looking back, most series had about 12 episodes, and i think a few even 15. Now its just a straight 6, which disappoints me.

(The Reliant Robin Rocket, limousine challenge, Tractor Challenge, and US Special were all S9) Also the longest season was only 11 episodes.
Remember guys if you want to watch Top Gear through BBC iPlayer use Expat Shield to get a U.K IP.
straight 6
hey guys look I am illuminating an unintentional car pun
