Master Of Puppets is boring because the songs sound so similar that it gets repetitive.
What
Take Leper Messiah, Master of Puppets and The Thing that Shuld Not Be
Totally different
You're forgetting that Master of Puppets is Metallica recycling the formula of Ride The Lightning. The opening track starts with a clean/acoustic intro, then leads in to one of the fastest songs on the album as an intro track. The 2nd track is the title track which is praised by fans and can represent the quality of the album by being as good as the album as a summary. The 3rd track then is more laid back, less thrashy, and more heavy. The 4th track starts with clean/acoustic guitars, gradually getting heavier until the last 2 minute or so climax. Track 5 then breaks the dramatic feel with a fast thrash track. Track 6 is the track that is dubbed as the underrated gem of the track. The final 2 tracks feature arguably the album's best song, then an instrumental, though MoP has the last 2 flipped around.
Good day to you sir.
ah there we go.
i actually noticed that on my second listen through. I thought i was just associating things like i usually do.
we think alike, but you have higher standards than i. Thanks for giving reasons though. some people still dont give reasons even after i call them out.
im satisfied.

I don't really see what any of what you said is an opinion.
I feel Master of Puppets is charismatic and really comes through in the crisp, clear sound of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. :downs:
No you knob that was Korn
Sorry, my area of expertise rests with Metallica, Nirvana and real metal like that.
I thought that was metallica
Same thing
didn't they record dark side of the moon and sgt peppers after?
Sorry, my area of expertise rests with Metallica, Nirvana and real metal.
No, real metal is Cannibal Corpse!
What?
Stating a group of facts is not an opinion at all. Literally anyone could have said what you just did, I get no sense that it's you who says those things. :smugdog:

I have been defeated.
I'm going to listen to some nintendocore and just get progressively gayer from there now that metal has abandoned me.
I've stopped listening to metal now, or anything remotely like it
Post rock/ambient erry fucking day

Their early stuff is, I think. I might have to relisten.
Stating a group of facts is not an opinion at all.
It never was my opinion, it's fact.

Whaddya mean?

Well the best way to review things is to have your own take on it and be yourself. Fair enough you can say what the songs are, but how do you feel when you hear them? Apart from "bored" of course... because as you know, boredom doesn't actually exist. :smug:

Neither does the album. It's all a light refraction.
Now we're getting pretentious, this is the kind of metal discussion I like. :smugdog:
Master Of Puppets is boring because the songs sound so similar that it gets repetitive.
The production is also terrible
I mean like
No it's good production but I hate the way it sounds due to the production as well. Makes it more boring than it already would be.
Metallica's discography after RtL puts me to fucking sleep its SO FUCKING DULL HOLY SHIT

a bit redundant don't you think?
particularly like how the bass stands out a bit
now that i think of it you listen to death metal (right?) so that explains how you can find a thrash album boring and i cant
it is
along with st anger
[editline]26th June 2011[/editline]
i agree
Troll.
I also love blink 182 so that kind of makes that point redundant. I like thrash, I just don't like Metallica that much
