No Edinbuggers are better :colbert: Although we're both better than English cities that's for sure
Oh of course, that we can all agree on.
But, unjustly, they get all the best shows Namely BLOODSTOCK FUCKKKK For those interested(Of course you are) the lineup is here http://www.bloodstock.uk.com/
Fuck me I'm half british :v: Though we have great shows here in Sweden
They also have gedfest, which may be a small gig but it has TesseracT
mynames2long is a lucky fuck, living in Sweden. It's THE country for metal. There are so many metal gigs there, it makes me sad As I'm sure bravehat can agree, it fucking sucks being a Scottish metalhead since like no metal bands come anywhere in Scotland. But he has advantage in that they all go to Glasgow when they do :saddowns: and metal is SUPER underground, even the more mainstream bands.
I saw Mastodon a few months back, in fact like a week before my birthday. They played the whole of Crack the Skye, cry bittersweet tears of hatred. :smug: And Amon Amarth a few months before that, and Cannibal Corpse on Halloween. And if things go well in December I'll be going to see the musical of Jeff Waynes War of the Worlds.
I was gonna go to the Mastodon gig. I really don't know why I didn't get tickets fuck And Amon Amarth and CC would be awesome. Only concert I've been to was Airbourne, but they did put on a brilliant show. If I can't go to Bloodstock, then I plan on going to Katatonia (already got my ticket for this :buddy:) Bonded by Blood (Thrash resurgence band, p sweet) Sabaton Killing Joke Amorphis Arch Enemy All in Glasgow :v:
I've been thinking bout getting a ticket for Arch Enemy and Amorphis.
No way in Hell I'm missing this Amorphis concert They're like my favourite band ever. They're going to Bloodstock too so I'd be seeing them twice which is AWESOME :frogc00l:

Hypocrisy Brilliant death metal band and the vocals guitar work have me hooked from start to finish every album. Strapping Young Lad Who doesn't love some good old SYL? One of the best death metal bands fronted by my personal hero, Devin fucking Townsend. Behemoth Maybe they're only blackened death metal, but they're still one of the heaviest, most intense, and most creative metal bands around. I love them to death.
Cattle Decap! They were so good live.
I myself classify Gojira as Death Metal. I just put it as that, because a lot of kids I knew in school didn't classify it as Death Metal. So, that's pretty much why I did that. But yeah, I got to see Gojira a month or two back. Simply put, it was amazing and I came buckets. Big ones.
The Sound Of Perserverance will forever be the best Death metal album in my opinion.
Throwing some of my recent faves up. Just started to listen to sybreed, they are pretty boss. Revive my wounds- sybreed Emma0- sybreed Neurodrive- sybreed
Enough of these shenanigans. Portal is classified as death metal afaik, but they're a bit extreme. Portal - Glummurphonel: Portal - 13 globes:

And yes, they are fucking brilliant live.
Friend of a friend showed me this sweet ass local band yesterday. http://www.myspace.com/eternanocturna Their drummer is awesome. He played with the Faceless for a little bit and is in Culling the Weak now I think.
I saw Bloodbath live a few weeks back, fucking awesome. Their fifth ever show.
Oh awesome, if I can go to Bloodstock this year, they're playing there. As are Opeth :frogc00l: Yeah Bloodstock is probably the best fucking metal festival I've seen so far, this year at least. And not just because it's the only one I can go to. http://www.bloodstock.uk.com/ Seriously, just look at that fucking lineup. It's bloody incredible. [editline]03:28AM[/editline] also lol I wonder if Jim Carrey is actually doing the vocals there, or if it's Chris. Probably Chris but still. CC is his favourite band If people didn't know. Which is why they're there. Also Pig Destroyer, just discovered them. Fucking kickass death/grindcore band

Also, just because I don't hear them mentioned often. For those fans of Necrophagist, and in particular their guitarist, here; have a side-project. Personally, I love these guys a lot more than Necrophagist. I'm not a big fan of Necrophagist's vocals, but Codeon's... Mmmm.
I pretty much love all genres of metal (there are a few exceptions), but my favorite genre is brutal technical death metal. When you throw speed, brutality, and technicality all into one genre you can get a truly amazing sound. Hour of Penance (The same vocalist as Fleshgod Apocalypse.) Fleshgod Apocalypse Arkaik Deivos (The only band I've heard incorporate a cowbell into their drumming, and it sounds fucking amazing.) Brain Drill Monumental Torment (This band sounds similar to Brain Drill.) Abhorrent Hideous Divinity (I'm not actually absolutely sure these guys are brutal technical death metal. They are still awesome though.) Beneath the Massacre Man Must Die Nile Psycroptic Severed Savior The Faceless (Not exactly sure if these guys fit into brutal technical death metal, but they are certainly technical death metal.) Vital Remains Abysmal Torment (These guys are actually Brutal Deathgrind, but they sound close to me.) Malebolgia Vengeful Cryptopsy Knowing me, I probably missed a few that I know.
Ever fucked a mutant?
erry dai Also, if someone can give me a more guttural vocalist than this I'll give you some form of reward but not really. More guttural than Chris' work on Tomb of the Mutilated with CC.
I get nausea every time I hear a voice like that. I prefer the more raspy and throaty vocals.
I don't really like them but they're perfectly listenable. Bands like that though are generally slow and not very aggressive. If you ask me normal death metal like Bloodbath and Cannibal Corpse are heavier than brutal death like that.
