Ask Gabe is he usually sits down and plays games and what not, or if he usually just works on shit.
Indeed; ask him what project(s?) he's currently assigned himself to.
ok, back, and lots to tell so the tour was simply, a fan relations employee showed me around the entire office, which was actually pretty quiet for the time being. she tried to get me some face time with gabe, but he was meeting with microsoft employees. i got to wave at him through a glass wall and he waved back, but that was it. i managed to get some questions in, like what they think of facepunch. you dont know how much they actually love you guys and your zealotry, the lady who did the tour watches you guys pretty closely. they were in the middle of doing another TV spot interview so half the staff was incommunicado (bad day for a tour, heh) but i got to see the sentry gun, the golden crowbar, the half life 2 robot atlas, all the art on the walls, and even the snack room. turns out they also have massage rooms, with those funky beds with the hole in them for your face to go in, turns out that all valve employee's get a full massage once a week. holy shit. on one of the massage rooms there was a sign that had gandalf on it doing his "you shall not pass" bit. they have a few memes here and there around the office, and some funny stuff randomly drawn on whiteboards. their hat wall had all kinds of goofy shit, including a horse mask presented from 2 people on opposite sides of america from steam. kinda wish i had brought something, i thought you were kidding when you told me to bring a hat for their wall. now whats interesting is the lady who i asked most of the questions too did not know what the fuck i was even talking about, at one point she said i was probably more qualified to give tours then she was. she was just a bored insurance agent that wanted a change of pace. she knew nothing of ricochet 2, prospero, jokes in the office, apparantly they kept her in the dark about most of that stuff, but she gave me her email to send any questions too, which she will pass around the office and have answered for me. i got an aperture laptop + tablet bag and some tf2 t-shirts for free from their storage. like i said earlier, the fan relations lady watches you guys pretty closely, and she has a lot of art from you guys wallpapering your office. most of it has to do with dolphins, because she gave out the info that she liked them. she also says after i get out of college i should send her my resume and she would see about getting an internship, though i don't think i'm worthy >w< oh yeah, and there was TONS of dota 2 stuff in every office, including some people playing. i got to watch, it was a basic game with people ganking and yelling at eachother. i will be emailing your inquiries shortly. any questions?
Ask Gabe whether or not they're still considering making Prospero; it's a project with SO MUCH POTENTIAL, and i'm sure none of us want to see it just remain vanished. I mean, the ideas borne from the development of that project influenced certain aspects of Valve's later games and even Steam itself, so I think it's only fair that Prospero becomes one of those massive amazing smash-hits of the decade, or at least an actual game.
I like this idea:
Prospero evolved into a massively multiplayer game. It was also intended to be distributed with a mix of official and user-created worlds that could be accessed through an in-game library, and each game would be running on its own server.
Except I think it'd suit fantasy environments better. An official, professionally-developed version of Master Sword: Continued would be great.
Ask if you can have a spare Handbook of Valve (Or does that count as Free Stuff?)
Ask if you can have a spare Handbook of Valve (Or does that count as Free Stuff?)
He's been to valve already
their hat wall had all kinds of goofy shit, including a horse mask presented from 2 people on opposite sides of america from steam.
Hi. [editline]1st August 2012[/editline] Also, I live in another country from him, not the opposite side of the US.

An official, professionally-developed version of Master Sword: Continued would be great.
Personally I was thinking of it being sort of like an open-world explorational game with varied and unique environments, kind of like Fez and Myst only with "psychic power combat" and plenty of third-party content. Imagine MystCraft but with more story, better combat and maybe puzzles, as well as a more Sourcey graphics engine and whatnot, and that's what I think Prospero should be like. Dunno about "Decay", however; i'd imagine realities would be a bit more stable in Prospero. Also what was Master Sword: Continued like?
You know, any guests that view various threads around here might be valve employees... Unless there is a spy in our ranks...
Ask if Valve keeps chat records of every single person who speaks to another on Steam.

Or better yet ask them how they track steam users and what kind of information is stored
Since this wasn't answered, does anyone actually know?
Since this wasn't answered, does anyone actually know?
it is actually being answered as we speak. give her time to answer them.

You're going as a Facepuncher if you're making this kind of thread about it. Saying, "I'm not going as a Facepuncher." Yet making a thread on Facepunch asking for questions, makes you a Facepuncher. You're an insult to this community, go on your stupid tour with your stupid questions, we won't help you.

[editline]6th August 2012[/editline] And he asked FP what he should ask Valve, that doesn't make him a facepuncher, he wasn't trying to represent facepunch when he went to valve(which is why he said he wasn't going as a facepuncher.)

Ask Valve about the Source 2 engine :V
