My guess is that they're not being used for slave labor at all, they must be using them for something else. Otherwise they would've just harnessed the adults as well.
Just saw the first episode.
I don't think I can be bothered with any more.
It was boring and uneventful and there were some godawful scenes (eg. The kid riding around on his ribstick while 300 people watch).
What I also noticed was they never had a wide shot to set the scene or anything. Especially at the start when they were running around their rebel base and through alleys and what not. I was like "Where the fuck are they now? All I see is a brick wall in the background."
I'm just wondering why the aliens picked KIDS if they needed slave labor. Idiots! If they enslaved adults they'd get more done, and get it done faster. Not only that but adults will fight to try and save their kids, and adults are capable of doing more damage. Kids would be lucky to just survive, forget about organizing and fighting back.
I hope the show explains this.
Adults have a more developed nervous system, so it's harder for the harness to control them, possibly?
I watched the 2 first episodes, not that impressed. Time will tell whether it improves.
So far the plot and characters are pretty god damn generic.
Give it time. You guys watch the first 10 minutes then say "This sucks." Not all shows can be amazing after the first couple episodes, just give it time. I think the action will pick up and it will get more interesting, so I will keep with it.
