I'll show you a god who falls asleep on the job. Muse is fucking excellent. I don't see why they get such a bad rap. They are, truthfully, an extremely talented band.
I've found a link to that music I was mentioning in the last post. http://content.ytmnd.com/content/c/b/a/cba651181bcc3419724103a1d675a139.mp3 I've heard it's by Muse. Is it? What's the name of the song?
Arctic monkeys!
They're getting really popular, too. The Residents might be a good idea but most people wouldn't like them. Edit: oh, Engerica is a good idea

Yeah, He's right.
I've always loved Muse, glad someone else noticed them.
Muse There is so much love for the Bellamy.. So much that my uncle insisted on shouting 'I want your babies' until Matt heard when we saw them at Reading.... My favourites are Can't Take My Eyes off You, Knights... and Hysteria. I do agree with my uncle's baby wanting though Here, a gold star for you
Nope, i don't like popmusic, sorry. It's decent pop, i'll give it that, but it's still poseriffic sellout popmusic.
Nope, i don't like popmusic, sorry. It's decent pop, i'll give it that, but it's still poseriffic sellout popmusic.
Erm... That's not pop.
Its 0% Pop, Pop sucks unlike Muse. It's full on Rock. Its very good.
Saw Muse at big day out festival this year and again in November in Brisbane, both were epic, although the Brisbane show far surpassed BDO in terms of sound quality.
Nope, i don't like popmusic, sorry. It's decent pop, i'll give it that, but it's still poseriffic sellout popmusic.
That one hurt. Please explain the sell-out part to me.
Anything to do with Muse is an instant Winner from me. My brother met Chris Wolstenholme at a party, and played his old bass! :D They used to play in a place called "The Cavern" in Exeter. And I live in their old hometown! :keke:
No one cares about Set-Hut, He's nothing but a troll who talks about stuff he doesn't even know. Also, Thanks for liking muse, No one knows about it at my school, And i really love it.
I was wondering if there was ever gonna be a megathread on Muse. They were much less popular around 1.5 years ago.
Yeah, There actually was a total of 3 (Including This one) But the last ones were ignored and deleted.
Make a Mars Volta thread, and then I might think you guys are worth something.
Agreed. I'm listening to Drunkship Of Lanterns right now. I haven't heard much Muse but they sound good.

I wish more people could post here, I don't want it to die.
Most people who claim to hate Muse are voicing their opinions on the basis of 'Starlight', a song that I feel is a middle finger up to what Muse are all about. It's the sort of song your little sister likes; it's just too simple, pop-oriented and marketed for the scene compared to the rest of Muse's gems. Because these people have heard and hate songs like 'Starlight' and 'Supermassive black hole' for their pop orientation, they won't give the proper tracks a good go. If I had my way, they'd be strapped into a chair and forced to listen to Bliss, then Apocalypse Please, then Knights of Cydonia (with the clip, of course [although credit for the clip goes more to the directors and writers]) In quite the traditional facepunch smart arse fashion, you will get the "I've heard new born, its shit" types just looking for an argument. Let them suffer in silence, missing out on a technically great band.
That's True.

Make them listen to Bliss, Stockholm Syndrome, Micro Cuts etc would definitely have another opinion.
Yeah! You named some of the best songs!
I gotta agree my man. Everyone I know who doesn't like Muse is like that. Make them listen to Bliss, Stockholm Syndrome, Micro Cuts etc would definitely have another opinion.
Oh god no, Micro Cuts is an embarrassing song I'd never show that one to anyone. Then again I never show anyone anything with music, as far as I'm concerned with anyone I meet, my musical taste is pants and no one gives a fuck so I keep to myself and put my earphones back in.
Woo Muse. Now Playing: Muse - Soldier's Poem "Black Holes and Revelations"
Knights of Cydonia's lyrics seem like a story to me.
Knights of Cydonia's lyrics seem like a story to me.
I see a story with a lot of heavy breathing myself.
Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Come ride with me Through the veins of history I'll show you how God Falls asleep on the job And how can we win? When fools can be Kings Dont waste your time Or time will waste you... Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh No'ones gonna take me alive The time has come to make things right You and I must fight for our rights You and I must fight to survive No one's gonna take me alive The time has come to make things right You and I must fight for our rights You and I must fight to survive No one's gonna take me alive The time has come to make things right You and I must fight for our rights You and I must fight to survive...
I see a story with a lot of heavy breathing myself.
I think it's about Martians attacking Earth and a resistance movement occurs. I think Cydonia is a part of Mars.
One of my favorite song is Space Dementia.
I don't know much of Muse but I absolutely love "Sing For Absolution", those simple yet ohmyfuckinggod amazing piano notes and composition <3 I love that song. Edit: SIIING FOOOR ABSOLUUUUTIOOOOON
