Unless it's a huge gig like the Staples Center shows, I wouldn't bother getting there THAT EARLY 12-1ish PM should be enough if it begins at eight. If they're headlining a stadium, 6-7AM, basically enough people were there that early to cover the entire barrier.

And they are the headlining act, yes.
Just got back from the Nassau Coliseum concert. Metric opened, they were eh. Half hour after they left Muse came on with their 3 raised tower podiums. They did: Uprising Map of the Problematique Newborn (Speakers died midway, but they got it fixed in a minute or so.) Supermassive Black Hole Resistance Hysteria Guiding Light United States of Eurasia Feeling Good Undisclosed Desires Time is Running Out Starlight Plug-in Baby Exogenesis Part 1 Stockholm Syndrome Knights of Cydonia Needless to say, it was fantastic.

Where were your seats? Also my god this was the most incredible thing I have ever seen I'm not a fanboy or anything but jesus christ they know how to put a show on. I landed a general admission ticket just over a week ago. It was awesome.
Ah I missed that part then, I was looking at the slightly overpriced shirts. I got a seat in limited view, which wasn't limited at all once they started. Got an old man headbanging next to me, was pretty funny. Also I agree, the extra lights and lasers were excellent.

I didn't bother with a shirt as I'm broke, but my ticket stub sufficed just fine. Did you see the circle pit during Starlight? That was the most awkwardly out of place thing I had ever seen before. I just wish they played Citizen Erased, Blackout, Showbiz, and Space Dementia. Ah well, can't have *EVERYTHING*...though they did play for a little less time than I expected.
I didn't see a pit, but the tower graphics during Starlight were by far my favorite.
Fucking Christ. Muse plays Citizen Erased at one of the random US festival gigs, one of the ONLY ONES I didn't attend. It would've been appreciated in Los Angeles last month guys. Meh, at least I got Bliss for the first time. [editline]29th October 2010[/editline] Nothing special with the exception of Citizen Erased, but they got the 8 minutes of riffage I got at Staples Center. Agitated intro/outro Dead Star riff, Yes Please riff, nameless endless riff. Overall it seems like it was almost as good as the Staples gigs.
anyone know the name of the riff at the end? (5:30+)
I apologize for the bump, but I'm seeing Muse in 2 days in Perth! I cannot wait! Also, I feel like pointing out their setlist for the second Brisbane show, it was the best this year, a complete unexpected one off: Exogenesis 1 Uprising Knights of Cydonia (3rd, wtf) Resistance Supermassive Black Hole MK Ultra Butterflies and Hurricanes Nishe United States of Eurasia Sunburn Helsinki Jam Undisclosed Desires Time is Running Out Hysteria Starlight Bliss w/ Hullaballoons ------------------ Citizen Erased Plug in Baby Take a Bow That combined with Dead Letter Circus as the support band, I'd have killed to have gone.

Kill it with fire. In all seriousness, what a disappointment. Personally, I like Muse for their calmer, more inspirational songs.

I am not fond of that ending at all. But I am glad they're pushing a new album so soon.
going to suck just like the last two albums big whoop
going to suck just like the last two albums big whoop
Early B-sides ftw
showbiz-era b-sides are some of their best tracks
I was laughing the whole way through the trailer. But I'm glad they're doing something a bit unexpected, as cheesy as it is. No doubt it'll be more of an entertaining ride than that album.
holy fuck I haven't really listened to muse since a couple years ago and there are so many layers I've never heard with my old headphones
...And then there was a track that features Skrillex. That would honestly be the worst thing ever.
I am surprised this haven't been posted yet (official video is blocked on facepunch for some reason)

I'm really hoping this is just because it's the olympic song and the rest of the album won't be like this, but I know I'll be wrong

It has some nice bits but it's all overshadowed by the extremely obvious pandering and M-M-M-M-Madness stuff. There's also this: It feels like windows 8: It mixes two styles in an uncompatible way. You can hear through the nice guitar and familiar muse bits but it's still mixed with the robot stuff.
It's good to know that Muse is experimenting, but I think they've experimented enough in the Resistance. They should've gone back to their roots for their new album.
b-b-b-b-b-bad
I'unno, Madness sounds like an alright track, deviates from their stuff madly, but I kinda like it. Otherwise the whole album just sounds... meh
b-b-b-b-b-bad
(wubwubwub wubwubwub)
is anyone else reminded of the warning sound from halo when they go mmmmmm mad mad mad? also it's a damn shame i didn't discover this thread sooner.
Animals, Panic Station and Supremacy are amazing tracks. Survival was great live and I'm very excited for their tour with the upside down pyramid thing.
I really like this album!
The 2nd law is so different! But I really like it. It's weird to hear Chris sing as lead vocalist. He sounds really good though.
