They're Muse, don't need a genre.
Ah, they made Shrinking Universe. Great song.
Thank you so much for introducing me to Muse.
Cool, No problem.
Knights Of Cydonia goes good as a soundtrack to ANY game.
This new one they're making will be interesting, Matt said it's going to be more electronic/dance oriented. Edit: Ok, I guarantee nobody here can tell me who this man is.
I hope the new album doesn't suck... Before Black Holes and Revelations came out, people thought it would suck, from Supermassive Black Hole being a single. But it turned out pretty good, more reminiscent of Origin of Symmetry than Absolution was, if you ask me.
I thought Black Holes and Revelations sucked when I first heard it, then I grew to like it, but not as much as I like their rest. Going more into dance worries me, I'm already drifting away from being a Muse fan (though I guess I'll still always like their older stuff). Anyway, there's some rare/misc songs/demos here: http://www.microcuts.net/uk/download/misc.php "rusty one" I don't think has a title, it's called that on there because they messed it up live :v: It's pretty damn good though and he messes up in the stupidest place that he'd been playing the riff for ages and just finished probably their longest and most complex solo in a Muse song ever. I also have a live song supposedly called "do we need this" but like "rusty one", I don't think it's on any CDs and I've never heard a studio recording, but I can't find it on that site so I might upload it to putfile. Because honestly i don't know. He's on the right:
Thank you. I just went and downloaded some songs of theirs, and they rock.
I saw muse at sheffield and wemberly staduim :D.
I'm hoping to get tickets for any Sheffield gig the next time Muse are on tour. Thanks for the link anothermartz, 'rusty one' would've been considered a good performance for any other band because of the awesomeness that Muse are live.
Now i really need to know if I'm right or not!!! I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight unless i find out!!
Umm...I guess you're right...
Umm...I guess you're right...
I need to hear it from the guy that posted the picture in the first place. Edit: For closure. Oh my God i just used the edit tag without actually editing. I feel so dirty now.
Muse is win. Thank you for spreading the word.
I really want to see them live. It's too bad they never play in England, considering they're an ENGLISH band. They've had, what? 4 gigs in two different locations in the past year or so? How many American gigs? Over 50? I think so!
Absolution is my favorite album. Hysteria rocks my socks.
Ch-Ching! One medal to you, sir.
If i didn't buy 'The Astoria London live' DVD i might not of picked it up. Amazing gig, this was in 1994, before 'The Bends' was released.
If they go dance I'm not gonna like them anymore.
If they go dance I'm not gonna like them anymore.
That's pretty narrow-minded; what if they pioneer an amazing new genre? Look at Kid A by Radiohead, it's truly brilliant, nothing like it had been brought to the mainstream audience before, and they started off with 'Creep'.
Ok if it was good but I hate dance why can't they stick with what they have, if they change it. It's a 50/50 chance of being better or worse I think there good at the hole rock/ other stuff.
But look at 'Take a Bow', that's distinctly dance-oriented and it's just so epic and larger-than-life. They might be intending to steer more towards this sound.
Take a Bow is my second least favourite song (after Supermassive Black hole, before Starlight) I rarely listen to it at all because I find it annoying.
So I'm guessing you skip straight to Map of the Problematique on Black Holes :v: Starlight is one of my favourites on the new album and I couldn't stop playing it when I first heard it.
Muse makes totally awesome music. :D This is me.
Knights of Cydonia. And I will master it on expert, sometime, in the near future.
I has already done it. :downs: I will post a video in the future when i have a camera.
Did they make Knights of Cydonia?
Absolution is my favorite album. Hysteria rocks my socks.
This man speaks the truth! Edit:
I've seen muse in England. Guess what. THEY WERE AWESOME.
I've seen them live 3 times! And got two shirts! :D
Did they make Knights of Cydonia?
Of course, my friend. What other band could come up with such an eclectic sound?
