Bitch, I can't read your mind.
The accent, and voice I read this in made it so much more funnier then you ever intended it to be.
Independence doesn't necessarily walk hand-in-hand with maturity. I know plenty of completely immature people who are living on their own and paying their own bills.
Also, don't give me fudged numbers and then get all mad when I use them. You should have said you were a year older (when it doesn't make a massive difference) instead of trying to make it sound like there was a 2 year gap between you. There's a large difference between 1 year and 2 years at those ages.
It's like asking a doctor for a BMI or whatever and fudging your weight/height a bit, then getting upset with what number they give you. Bitch, I can't read your mind.
Fair enough, but I just mean it really isn't that infeasible that there's only a small difference in maturity between two people with a two year age gap. I know a 17 year old who was dating a 23 year old guy and they were perfectly functional for a year or two.
Point is, I don't think there's any reason people shouldn't at least try a relationship with someone of a different age. It will at least give them a new perspective of the world, or help them reconnect with one they hadn't thought about in years.

17 and 23? I almost want to call that fucked up. 23 year-olds are so far ahead of 17 it's not even funny. Guys like that are fags that need to look for people their own age. When he turned 18, she was twelve.
Yeah, that's pretty fucked up. Just preying on the fascination girls have with older guys.
I'm really only attracted to girls my age or a little older. Never really understood the point of dating younger girls, it just seems like more trouble to me.
Age =/= maturity.
Age generally leads to maturity, but not always.
There are exceptions.
I managed to inadvertently get a girl's number today.
Actually, I do fairly well around women. Considering I'm more of a geek than most people I know, that's really something. Then again, I'm also more... I don't know, sure of myself than most people I know as well.

Almost always. Maturity comes with the development of the brain, and most brains develop at the same rate.

That's coz some geeky guys can be hot to some girls.
When he turned 18, she was twelve.
Yeah yeah like a 68 year old and a 62 year old dating, when he was 5 years old she was -1 years old oh the horrors, the true definition of the guy being a gigantic faggot!
Looking at the numbers don't tell themselves a lot, I wouldn't call that so fucked up without knowing what kind the persons are. Bit odd with that age difference but yeah.
18 year old dating somebody playing with dolls is another story, but people who are 17 and 23 might not be that far away from eachother.
No, 17 and 23 are very far away from each other. 20 and 26, sure, but 17 year-olds have not finished maturing. I'm 17 and I know that. I'm a really smart kid for my age, but I know there's way too much difference in maturity for that relationship to ever work.
And the point of looking at the numbers like that was that when he turned 18 she was twelve, and she still isn't even 18 herself yet. There are plenty of fish in the sea. A 23 year-old should realize that and look for people in their own age group. If they don't, they're taking advantage of young girls. Illegal ones, too.
There's a reason why a 23 year-old dating a 17 year-old isn't socially acceptable. It's because everyone who looks at that knows that they aren't at the same stage, and that the 23 year-old is more than likely taking advantage of her.
My new girlfriend is just amazing, shes everything I've ever wanted, shes adventurous, she likes to party, shes honest, she smart, shes beautiful - its actually the girl I've been craving for

(just thought I would post that for no apparent reason)
Enjoy it while it lasts.

That's why I said everything should be looked invidually, not as some homogenic group. People develop in different ways - some 17 year old might have a child and live on their own - some 23 year olds are still living in their mothers basements and don't even know how to make their own bed.
I don't see turning 18 to be some magical milestone that makes everything suddenly acceptable. You don't gain unlimited knowledge and wisdom overnight.
17 and 23 year olds dating would be kinda odd in my opinion, but I wouldn't instantly judge it being built on abuse and a child looking for a daddy-figure.
Independence =/= maturity. All these examples of how you could be on your own and have a child blah blah blah have nothing to do with maturity.

Well what is maturity then?
Well what is maturity then?
Knowing how to handle new situations on your own, knowing how to deal with and respond to all different types of people, knowing when it's appropriate and inappropriate to speak your mind, and countless other things.

It's not just knowing how to pay bills

I think that those are things that you learn, not things that come with age. Living on your own and being independent probably makes you learn those things a lot faster - when you actually have to deal with people and learn from the mistakes you make. Like I said, it's all invidual.
On average older people are more mature, but I don't think it would took that long to find a mature 17 year old and drag some not so mature 23 year old from some basement.
Maturity is understanding.
A child could act retarded or act incredibly intelligent, neither is indicative of maturity. What indicates maturity is the ability to understand why you are the way you are. Too many people see quiet kids reading books in the corner and think "Oh, they're so mature." In reality, those kids are just as clueless about why they are the way they are as retards. Ask one of those kids why they read and they'll say "Because I like it." Ask them why and they will probably hit you with something along the lines of "I don't know, I just do." A mature person understands why they are the way they are. They understand who they are and their place in the world. Keep in mind that knowing =/= understanding.
Maturity is not just knowing your place in the world, but understanding it. The undeveloped mind simply lacks the ability to understand itself. It's impossible to understand yourself until you are fully developed, therefore it is impossible to be mature until your brain is fully developed.
It has zero to do with independence. A guy could live with his mom and not even know how to wipe his own ass yet be mature. A guy could be fully independent with a child and be incredibly immature.
Can't fucking wait to go out of town with my mates. Going to the biggest water park in Texas and I'm going to approach every hot female I see. Can't wait to forget about my ex. Can't wait to stop thinking about her.

I was having sex yesterday morning, when my girlfriend asked me to stop then her mum knocked on the door because the bank was on the phone and wanted to do a fucking survey. Bit of a mood killer, but last night more than made up for it, probably the best sex I ever had, she said she came three times :3
Also she asked me if wanted to do it doggy-style, I was taken aback a bit and really didn't expect her to ask. Has anyone done it before?
As much as I hate the name for it, doggy-style is the shit.
Calling it anal seems a bit too course, while doggy style sounds stupid. There's just no middle ground.
Calling it anal seems a bit too course, while doggy style sounds stupid. There's just no middle ground.
What. I don't think you understand what doggy is.
Calling it anal seems a bit too course
uh that's not what it is unless you kids have changed the definition of words again
What. I don't think you understand what doggy is.
She was talking about the former, I've done doggy style before. I should've clarified.
I have no idea how you expected to anyone to know what you really meant, but still it's better than if you really didn't know what it meant and gave her a surprise.
Reminds me of the first time I ever had anal sex with my (then) gf, the thing is though it was completely accidental. We were going at it, fairly rough/fast and I pulled out just a bit too far and ended up slipping out of her for a brief moment. Gravity pulled my penis down about 3cm for that split second, and I ended up slamming my knob straight against her asshole. It felt like I had just thrusted my penis into a brick wall, fuck I immediately lost my erection and spent the next 10 minutes alternating between, "FUCK THAT HURT" and, "I'm so so so sorry are you okay?"
We laughed about it though, and to this day I still have a FB Status way way back saying something along the lines of "I like to thrust my penis into walls" which she made after it happened. :v:
