So a couple of weeks ago I got my period while sitting in "our" bed at my boyfriend's parent's house. Blood got on the sheet and the sheet was white. When his mom noticed, she accused my boyfriend and his brother of bleeding in the bed and was all like "stop bleeding in the bed!" - my boyfriend didn't rat me out. Now, he just texted me "My mom just came in and gave me the bedsheet back after having it washed and said "So I couldn't get the blood off"" - there will forever me period blood on that sheet. Gross.
Oh, and this was meant to be funny, but I realised that it's not funny at all except to the people involved, but now that I typed it out.. Well.
why does his mom think that her sons have periods that's the part i don't get
"stop bleeding on the bed!" she's not very bright is she
She didn't, she just thought someone had been bleeding.
But no, she isn't too bright - high school drop out.
She didn't, she just thought someone had been bleeding.

high school drop out =/= automatically dumb
high school drop out =/= automatically dumb
where did you come from, shoo shoo
high school drop out =/= automatically dumb
I don't know a single high school drop out who isn't on the dumb end of the spectre
His mother is the nicest person I know, and she has great people skills, and what she does (she works at a day care) she does great, but she is by no means smart - more just slighty dumb and naive (which is part of her charm) - greatest mother in law ever, truthfully.
I don't know a single high school drop out who isn't on the dumb end of the spectre
so you're going to declare that all high school drop outs are dumb because the few high school drop outs you know are allegedly dumb
so you're going to declare that all high school drop outs are dumb because the few high school drop outs you know are allegedly dumb
better watch out i'm wearing my white armour as we speak
so you're going to declare that all high school drop outs are dumb because the few high school drop outs you know are allegedly dumb
i think you're being an asshole tbh
they meant that high-school drop outs are dumb because they dropped out of high school (which is a dumb thing) therefore our brain will associate dumb choices with dumb people
so you're going to declare that all high school drop outs are dumb because the few high school drop outs you know are allegedly dumb
Yup, I dare say that most high school drop outs are less intelligent than people who finish high school and continue with further education. I'm not saying that all the people who finish high school are smart or intelligent in any way, however, you need to finish high school to get a proper education. Granted, a few high school drop outs manage to make something out of themselves, but they're the exception to the rule. In a society where most things are based on knowledge, dropping out of high school is a dumb move - so already there you're not exactly acting logically or smart in any way.
I know tons of dropouts.
While they might be good, hardworking people, they certainly aren't as intelligent as the kids who actually went through with schooling.
Also, I don't mean it in a bad way when I say they're dumb. That's just how it is.
i think you're being an asshole tbh
I'm not. if anyone is then it's SaWAH because she implied that dropping out of school automatically means you're a dumb person.

calling someone dumb isn't exactly a nice thing
it'd be like calling someone an asshole and saying that you don't mean it in a bad way
Nobody said "Dropping out = dumb, no exceptions."
She just said people who drop out tend to be dumb, which is true. I've gone to 3 different high schools with plenty of dropouts and I can't think of a single one who was intelligent.

Sure, calling someone dumb ins't a nice thing, but that doesn't change the fact that they're dumb. Now, get some cream for that itchy vagina of yours.
My mum didn't finish high school, but this was because she didn't pass English, which was a prerequisite, so she went out and got a job and ended up doing night school to learn interior design. She's not dumb, just stubborn.
I have a friend who did pass high school and he's not very smart. But he's doing an apprenticeship to become an electrician.
Finishing high school doesn't mean that you are smart. I know some people in my uni lectures who aren't smart. And they all finished high school.
I know of a few drop outs that have been pretty smart. I didn't know them personally, but I do know that they got mostly A grades in school. I guess you could argue that good grades don't make you smart.
It's like you people only read a part of what I'm posting, and then you go into defense mode.

SaWAH did
nice job backpedaling
I'm not backpedaling, I've simply said what I have to say. Most high school drop outs are not by any means smart, fact. There's nothing more to it. I don't care if you know someone who's clever as sin but dropped out of high school - like I said, that's the expection to the rule. For every smart high school drop out, I bet there's 10 (or more) dumb ones.

there's nothing but baseless claims in this post
the fact is that you originally said that high school drop out = automatic dumb person, and that's simply not true. you can still be smart and not apply yourself due to other factors.
I never really said that if you read closely. That's just what you assume. Stop assuming things. It won't really get you anywhere. Something tell me you're a butthurt high school drop out, and in that case, son, you're only backing up my claim that most high school drop outs are dumb.

that's all I could gather from the original post you made. I'm not assuming things. you clearly equated the two.
I'm not a drop out, and even if I was it wouldn't be relevant
My original post simply stated that my ever so loving mother in law is a bit on the daft side, and that she's a typical high school drop out when it comes to intelligence. I didn't equate the two.
[editline]18th August 2011[/editline]
But dude, it's almost 5 AM, no fucking way I'm having this discussion all night when you're just going to keep on bla bla bla'ing. Guess what, I'm not going to change my (correct) opinion on the matter. Most high school drop outs dropped out for the reason that they simply weren't cut intelligence wise to finish an education. I'm not saying there aren't exceptions, obviously there are, but that is the rule, for the third and last time. Call this backpedalling, call it whatever, you're even allowed to assume that you won the argument, I couldn't care less.

you just did it again
none of this is relevant to fucking, girls, or shit i'm sorry i brought it up fuck!
you just did it again
ffs yes she's a typical high school drop out, because typically, high school drop outs are dumb, that doesn't mean every high school drop out is dumb, can you get it in your head already, it's just a general thing

I agree with you 100%
dropping out of high school is not logical in the long run, or the short run either. A good majority of high school drop outs are not the brightest so to say.
