New 9/11 attack video released. Taped by police helicopter.

This is perhaps the most emotional video of this I've seen of 9/11. No wonder it wasn't released till now. Muslims would've been lynched.
I was expecting to see godzilla or king kong rise above the smoke.

On a side note,
why is it that during every tragedy someone recording has a really bad camera.
They don't exactly plan to record it. So people make do with what they have.

10 years ago, very few people had cameras on them all the time, compared to virtually everyone today that has a cell phone or a Flip can shoot a decent video with them.
What sucks is that no one knew what to do. I don't think anyone knows what to do now, almost 10 years later. The firefighters however were probably doing stuff but the police helicopters really didn't do much since as you see you can't really do anything sadly. I could be wrong but from all the videos I've seen so far they weren't able to do anything to try helping.
The other helicopter I'm pretty sure is a UH-60, or some helicopter with big ass fuel tanks. My uncle was on that one surveying the area for some company. He has some awesome pictures and footage. Taken with really high end cameras. I don't know where I can find any of it however. If I did I'd post it.

The damage was so severe to the towers that everyone on the top floors couldn't be saved under any means. The only thing that could be done was evacuate the people on the bottom floors.
Man I hated 9/11. We were playing some fun learning games when everyone saw smoke rise from Manhattan. That day was hectic as fuck. Parents scrambling to pick up their kids and children crying because they thought their dad wouldn't make it home from work.

Yeah, sort of what I meant, the top floors everyone was screwed, it sucks that we weren't able to save these people back then, and if this didn't happen 10 years ago but happened this year, we still would be clueless on how to save the top people.
i was in 4th grade, i think, and we were in the kindergarten class for some reason. a lady from the office comes in and said "the twin towers got hit" and my teacher said "by what!?" and she said "by an airplane" and she rushed out of the room and left us 4th graders and kindergardeners alone, for about 20 minutes. i didn't understand what happened until about 6 months later and i didn't see any footage of it for at least 2 years.

I don't really remember much. I do remember I was in the fifth grade, and I remember watching some of it in class, with all the adults huddled around the TV. I also remember walking home to see my parents doing the exact same thing, but it was kinda eery in that my parents were standing in the exact same spots in relation to the TV that the teachers were and were watching the same channel, it felt like doomsday or something.
9/11 is my birthday. I know thousands of people share it but it was still weird when I came home to see both my parents staring at the TV :ohdear:
Whether it was terrorist or the government, this just proves how corrupt and disgusting the human race is, and can be. Things like this make me ashamed to be human.
While late I really can't believe this was this late but wow, it still kinda haunts me to see this again.

Agreed.

i bet you get a lot of odd looks when you start buying cakes and party hats
You know, I remember watching this happen on the television when I was 8 years old and being so utterly confused as to why it was happening, and why all those people had to die. Now 10 years on, I'm 18 and through the war in the middle east that has claimed more lives than the attack itself, a mountain of political justifications, islamophobia, fundamentalism and unbridled hatred I still don't understand why those people had to die.
The world is tearing itself apart and I don't know why.
"You are tearing me apart, Lisa!"
At the time, I lived just on the other side of the Hudson river.
I saw that shit go down live.
In the months following, the clouds of dust that lingered over Manhattan had the eeriest glow at night.
The youtube comments.

I can't believe this was almost 10 years ago. I don't remember the day exactly, but I remember having a moment of silence every day in school for a few months where we would just sit in silence for a minute. I'm in Canada, too. We prayed for you guys every day :canada:
