Does anyone know when the Chrome OS is coming out?
I live in a country that matters, and therefore has comprehensive streetview everywhere. Made for a pretty awesome experience especially when I dulled down my deskstop and just had chrome , with headphones on. Great fun.
Since when does Google decide which countries "matter"? Boy, are you dumb.
This is pretty cool. It wouldn't work 100% for my real childhood home though because Google Maps fails for not having images of the entire area. So I redid it with where I live now it's pretty sweet. I like the song.
Someone give me an address that works, mine doesn't have enough street view to work properly.
Las Vegas, NV, USA. Whole cities count as addresses. And the Strip exploding into trees is fucking awesome.
Thread made me switch to chrome from firefox, made me realise how much faster it is. However, how the christ do I get a home button? Also how do I remove the red underlining spellcheck thing.
Ran fine in FF4.
"Your address doesn't contain enough Street-View and/or Google Maps data to 100% enjoy this experience. You may want to try another address, or the name of your school and its town could work as well." Does that for every address I enter that's in Finland. It even says that for Helsinki :/
My hometown has 1 streetviewed street on it, well fuck, I wanted to be al nostalgia-like today.
Seemed like it would have been cool if I lived in a more urban area. Google maps just has pictures that look like they were shot through a tub of vaseline :saddowns:
Was pretty cool. My siblings were amazed.
That was cool
Woah, awesome :buddy: [editline]9th November 2010[/editline]
Same for me here in Sweden
Mine worked, and I'm in slovenia :smug: [sp] except the little man running was running over rivers and houses, but thats about it[/sp] [editline]9th November 2010[/editline] Also, what the fuck is the song called
It worked pretty well for me. No running over houses or anything. Google even hasn't updated since we moved to my current house a few years ago, so it's just like I remember it.
I downloaded Google Chrome just to watch this? Ugh... barely worth the look. It glitched the whole time. Windows would overlap and obstruct my view of the main window. I wish it was longer and incorporated more of their "technology" into the entered address.
Worked perfect for me. Ran down the road, trees grew in sensible places.
oh shit wrong thread. - snip -
whats the point of the postcard thing
That was awesome, but trees growing on building roofs? How does that work?
