What's the recommended method of posting text? I get the feeling that a three page post would be frowned upon...
Maybe upload it to rapidshare if it is a lot of text and post the link here with a short intro of it?
Stop that
What do you mean?
What's the recommended method of posting text? I get the feeling that a three page post would be frowned upon...
I like using pastebin for stuff like that
What do you mean?
:)
:)
I didn't even notice that before you posted that right now. (:
Does written work like poetry have any place here?
I feel like this is visual, but a Poetry/Prose thread could be great. [editline]9th April 2012[/editline] I have a prologue I'd post in it right away.
Are we allowed to make requests on here? or is that a ban-able offense?
Ok thanks guys I get it. :D
Buuuut you didn't say that in the initial post until after I posted this. Very convenient edit. :)
eh despite the condescending smiley face you could have just looked at the edit date of the post (which was literally seconds before you posted (and then i edited it again so now the date is later than your post so we both look silly now))
Not sure if these are worthy of this thread, but "vectors" of Tribe's Tribe logos, I learnt quite a bit about colour value from this, surprisingly.
Hi everyone, I haven't posted here in a very long time. I miss this thread, so here's a small dump [t]http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/8718/img115he.jpg[/t] [t]http://img825.imageshack.us/img825/2197/img114i.jpg[/t] [t]http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/3109/img116y.jpg[/t] [t]http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/7853/img121dy.jpg[/t]
Welcome to the grimdark phase. You'll prolly miss it. Some hydraulics and such have a bit messed up perspectives, along with the yellow spot infront of the bike
any major changes i need to do besides anatomy i drew with colors!3d! here's the page if you want to view in 3d http://colorslive.com/details/69299-bloodseeker_by_dragonitemaster.php
Some hydraulics and such have a bit messed up perspectives, along with the yellow spot infront of the bike
Hah I don't think the perspective is off somehow
Hah I don't think the perspective is off somehow
lol but it is in places also i don't want to go back to the other page to quote whichever post it was that said "maybe this was a waste of time artistically" but i don't really agree with that because i got to learn about rendering whole different materials that i have never worked with before (shiny shiny smooth painted plastic, metal and carbon fibre) and, as for my dad, he does love it. i know we, as artists, don't really appreciate over-rendering and excessive realism because it is kinda sterile but shit like this actually sells to people who are really interested in the subject matter see: aviation art
There we go I sufficiently creeped myself out. It's a WIP, I feel the shading is not yet complete, and I might add some subtle texturing later.
I cant draw real humans nor guns hope you don't mind a little bit of animey
just got me a tablet and desperately trying to learn basic stuff [t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7856270/tryintodraw.jpg[/t] tips and pointers are welcomed with open arms
try not to focus on perfection and smoothness so much. it's good to get a feel for the tablet but you'd probably be better off doing some quicker stuff with stronger strokes [editline]10th April 2012[/editline] like... i can't actually critique what you've done very well because it almost looks like it was done with gradients and blur filters n stuff because it's so perfectly smooth so can't see your brush technique it's good to see strong contrast of values though - a lot of people when they start out neglect the harsh ends of the spectrum
just got me a tablet and desperately trying to learn basic stuff [t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7856270/tryintodraw.jpg[/t] tips and pointers are welcomed with open arms
on task with your sphere lighting, [t]http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2012/062/3/0/picking_colors_tutorial_by_lyamangaka-d4rjtyt.jpg[/t] also try out paint tool SAI, it's very natural feeling if you're used to traditional medias, with the added bonus of being the only program amongst the main painting stuff that has a competent pen stabilization tool; Hell, I think it's the only one of anything I've tried that actually uses the pressure sensitivity of your tablet to the best extents, there's just a different feel to the way it handles. I posted a neat little quick-starter picture (with a crab on it, hard to miss) showing a few key tools and such a few pages back.
Many thanks
Are these positions any correct? Quickly sketched shooting positions.
Welcome to the grimdark phase. You'll prolly miss it.
Nah, I'm already over it. I still like to draw these kind of things.
I like drawing fat curly bikers
