busted
you stalking fb for reference photos then?
Well she did ask me for a portrait so yes, I just grabbed a random photo off her fb. Kinda hard to take my own reference photo from all the way over seas
That signature is extremely obnoxious though, why wouldn't you put it in the bottom right?
Also, is it just me or does the shape of her arm seem a bit awkward?

Yeah I figured so, might just fade it into the background a bit more, I like having my signature some how attached to the figures I draw. And yeah, slightly exaggerated the curve of the arm to help soften the rythm of the piece, bit much?
Also, re-uploaded with a less obnoxious signature.
Hi guys, I'm a huge beginner, so I don't really post here, but I want some help with this watercolor I'm doing for school.
I'm doing this watercolor based off a building that I really like. It is by no means professional, or even half up to the level of what is usually posted here, but I am quite proud of the way its turning out, and I wanted some help in finishing it.
First off, this is an actual picture of the building I based my painting on.

What my painting currently looks like is this:
[t]http://i.imgur.com/nfqim.jpg[/t]
It is still in progress, it has 0 details, and I'm not even done with the back/foreground. This is where I'm requesting some help from you guys.
You'll notice that on the right lower side of my painting, there's some shittly painted background buildings. I want to make them look not as shitty.
My art teacher suggested just kinda making them fade off with blue, what do you guys think?
Oh man, it took all my courage to make this post. Go easy on me.
when water colouring, especially architecture, artist's tape is your best friend.

why do u watermark your images
nobodys going to steal them
Only because it's for a competition, I know it's most likely nobody will steal them, but what if some dickhead just came into the thread stole it, then posted it on the comp for themselves?
Better safe than sorry, as stupid as it may sound.

But I agree. It would be retarded if I watermarked an image I just made for fun. But I did it this time because it's for a competition.
Where's his left arm?
Fuck.
hey, everyone makes mistakes. I sometimes forget to put an expression on my characters.
i dont know if this is the right thread...but i think making a new one for this problem is useless.
Ive been trying out Photoshop lately, and i love it, but i have a problem

if my view isnt 100% everything on the canvas pixelates, as you can see on the pic there, i tried several resolutions, and no luck, any ideas?
that's just how it is.

oh thanks, i feel stupid now
if you want to avoid that, it seems to look normal when its at numbers like 50%, 25%, even 12.5%
ye. things look really bad at certain levels of zoom.
the magnifying glass-tool though lets you cycle through the different percentages that look fine.

I have a solution
First you need Photoshop CS5
Then go to preferences - > Performance and Enable OpenGL
This do require more processing power. It will try to force those algorithmic scaling problems to a minimal, they still occur but most the time it looks perfect at any level of zoom :3

Make sure these are ticked
