Shape of the cloak doesn't really have any sense of flow to it
Also think about the shape of that blue energy/force around the hand - does it add to or detract from the sense of forward motion? Can you alter it to contribute to the left to right flow a bit more?
Otherwise great

The force is actually far in front of him, like a wave sweeping across the sand.
It makes more sense if you have any context with the game, though i admit it did bug me where I placed it, but by the time I drew it I wasn't committed enough to rework things so I could put it in a different place.

Ah yes but, aesthetically, it's a bit of an issue. The inverted umbrella shape cancels out the forwards speed of the dude, as though the crescent of light would catch the air.
Are you working with things on different layers? It's a good habit to get in to, especially when a client might ask you to change something at short notice. Saves you from having to repaint a whole bunch of stuff

Last one is my favorite, but I'm finding it a bit difficult to actually like any of them because your palette is pretty horrid
How so?
Personally I like the colors. Well the gray in the horizon is kinda dull, more colors in the clouds would be nice. I get instant associations with a yellow version of Eden Prime in ME1 for some reason.
EDIT: Feels like a yellow version of this;

Bleakness was sort of intentional
How would you define 'muddy'?
I don't know which are the best words to describe, but..
Arms' positions are wrong. His left arm should be bending backward, right arm should be bending forward, that is, if he's running normaly.
He's not running per se but jumping from a run, but I see your point, back to the drawing board then.

Muddy is kind of a combination of a lack of significant value contrast (if you were to put your picture in grayscale the hut and the sky would become difficult to distinguish between eachother) as well as some ugly color choices, like the sludgy brown and grey in the sky.

Looks like the game Journey, but in the future, with jetbikes.

Caricature practice, disregard the hair, got bored by then, might redo at a later date.

Speed paint, ca. 1 hour.
EDIT: I did not intend to make her look like Chell -- oops.
Ohh, very nice modeling on the torso, I dig it

Values are way muddy, it looks like her skin is made out of tree bark. I like your shadows and the belt area really looks like it has mass, but you have to work on getting your surfaces smoother and more readable.
My values are always muddy. I can't help it, it just happens... eventually.
Anyone got any tips on how I could avoid that?
Use bigger brushes and less flow or set opacity to pen pressure. Then go over those scribbly bits with it, save what you can.
Or in your next painting just use bigger brushes and don't zoom in. Work broad, gesturally. I hear ctrl + paint has some good rendering video tuts.

i think i'm gonna make a 3d version of this one, it was just a doodle but it looked pretty cool
[editline]12th June 2012[/editline]
anyone wanna try giving it a few color variations or different schemes? i was thinking of going with the cliche white for the head, black for the legs/accessories and red for the eyes but that's just copying the portal turret.
Go for a retro/rusty feel, like this or this
