Is that CS6? Nice.

How much time do you typically spend on a painting, and that one?

I can masturbate to this.
i was drawing a kawaii anime character but then i thought their face looked like a baby's

and then i was like man that baby looks strong so i drew in a six pack
I'm going to make an animation. I guess its OK to post here? I have the idea in my head and this is just the start. I just feel like sharing this, though it isn't even close to ready and I am going to change a lot of things.

My goal is to make the one on the right look like the one on the left looks now within 3 months.
This is awesome, I agree that there is clearly been improvement in art style, but I personally think the older one looks more awesome. But, that's just me. :v:
Newbie drawer here, I'd like some criticism on a drawing I'm currently working on.
10 points if you can guess what game and character this fella is based off.

Thanks!
More stylized stuff often looks cooler, but in order to properly stylize an artist has to know how the stuff that she/he is depicting actually looks. At the time I drew the first one, i was not yet capable of drawing the second -- now that I've drawn the second, I'm still capable of drawing the first, but better. Once I get more experienced I will probably go back to stylizing a ton since that's what I find fun.

i was drawing a sci fi dude and then i quit cuz it looked bad

Every time I draw something and it looks bad I quit too
that's my secret to improving
most of my friends who I watch stream will delete things, a lot, without even saying anything. just BLIP, and the people in chat ask what happened and they just say "it sucked/I didn't like it/it was bad"/etc. Problem is that most of the people in the group watching actually liked the piece, it's rather annoying seeing some things that we could find amazingly interesting may be getting tossed because the artist gets a little self-conscious before it ever reaches fruition
What I said was a joke, fire kracker. There are times when it's better to leave a piece and try to 'do it better next time'. There are times when you should keep working it until it works.
I think you should try keep working it.

Remember, like anything in life, it's a case of 'what works for you'
I would give 'working on this one for some more time' a shot and see how it goes
okay :(

Like you need to post a picture so that people will know who Morpheus is
And I think it's fair enough to give up if you're working with no ref and you can't see the piece you want in the piece you're doing. You should be able to from the get-go imo

I disagree - some people work through spontaneity, without a clear (or sometimes ANY) vision in their head of how they want it to turn out
Well if you don't have a goal then what I said wouldn't apply
even if you do have a goal, sometimes things don't go the way you expect and you can turn it into something new

I made a painfully 80's facebook cover/Tumblr title image.
I never ever ever say add noise because I hate noise, but...
Add noise. At least to the gradient. That's how gradients were in the 80's.
That is all.

Currently working on a paper 5x scale version of this watch. Hopefully will be a wall clock. Just testing whether it still keeps time properly after messing with the motor.
not sure why it's uploaded upside down but you get the idea.

Yeah, like a turd of a half-finished painting that never needs to see the light :v:
I haven't drawn anything since school let out..
I was afraid this would happen

i decided to change where he's looking more to make it more exciting
I drew something in science class, then I went over it in sharpie and crayons, FP. Judge it and make me not want to make drawings anymore.

if you see shit on his face then it's because i drew something on the back of the paper.
