That eye looks like it's up to no good.
[thumb]http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2012/188/9/8/the_alluvium_divide_by_timehive-d56cfss.jpg[/thumb] My last 8"x8" acrylic for $40 I'm sick of the texture, so I bought some gesso. I wanted to use two contrasting color schemes. Not sure it worked too well. I tried selling it at an art walk in my city, but it's really hard to sell anything.
Reminds me a ton of Beneath a Steel Sky.
trying to work out some sort of style of my own should probably focus on making it less animey :<
nigga that's kawaii
damn straight negro kawaii as fyk shouldn't have gotten into the uguu stuff its affecting everything else i try to paint oh well
the look and technique is great but you're right, them kawaii eye gotta go and the hair, I'd like to see that not twice as wide as the head
Just downplay the hugeness of the eyes, do some studies of real human eyes and a find a nice in-between. Also, make the face less like a upside-down triangle, do some studies of jawlines and the like.
Oh wow, I didn't even pay attention to how wide the hair actually is. Now that I look at it, its worse then what I started with. Oh well, I'll work on it. Thanks.
Here's some stuff I drew in Paint.net. I was going to use them in a game that my friend was making, but he gave up on that long ago. I just thought I would share them here and see what everyone thinks about them.
Holidays are holy days. I love them. It's amazing but when I try something like this it turns out like the early stages you posted but I can't make it look nice, anyone got a tutorial for this?
So, just a quick question, but what program do you guys use to animate the most? Price really isn't an issue because I can buy most of what I need through the University, and considering I just got accepted into the ASU Architecture program, I figure I should treat myself a little bit :D

maybe do some material studies for metal and such? to help with rendering
I wanna make a quick poll thing because I'm interested in how the majority of people browse CC, just an impulse. I'd be grateful to anyone who rates accordingly: I pretty much only read the Creative Work thread with few to no exceptions - I read CW and I also follow sketchbook threads or individual artwork threads if I like the OP and/or the OP's work - I check out most or all of the threads that people make in CC at least once, and revisit the ones I like - [img]http://www.facepunch.com/fp/ratings/heart.png[/img]
Eh this one thread has a decent amount of art + learning resources/tips/people being nice to eachother There's always one or two CC threads that catch my attention, tho.
I was lazy
I was lazy
Well, you weren't that lazy. You still made something.
Limbs are a bit wonky but that is really friggin' cool. I'd like to see what you draw when you aren't lazy!
Someone help me fix this guy's fucking face and head I can't get it right. Which one of these is the least fucked up?
I think the upper one. The lower one's head seems a bit too small..
I think the upper one. The lower one's head seems a bit too small..
Better?
Better?
yep, looks cool.
yep, looks cool.
Alright, thanks.
Does anyone here go to school of visual arts? I'm trying to decide if I want to pay that much to go, and what art job there is likely to get me paid enough to live. [editline]10th July 2012[/editline]
Reminds me a ton of Beneath a Steel Sky.
Thanks. I've never heard of Beneath a Steel Sky, but the art of it struck me on a certain chord. This painting was a practice for further developing my style. I'm taking it to a whole new detail level on a 16"x20" canvas. I'm really going all out on this next one. My favorite image I found of it was this one: [thumb]http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3oh8NxhVY_Y/T67mD4FHU6I/AAAAAAAAAGU/nYaO5HjFDm4/s1600/Beneath_a_Steel_Sky.png[/thumb] I thought you might like some of my graphic design pieces if you like this kind of art. Here is some concept art I did a few years back. Picked up a random loomis book and did the first thing that looked sort of interesting I regret this [editline]10th July 2012[/editline]
Thanks. It's free on GOG and pretty short. The background art is done by the same guy who did the Watchmen comics. I was awestruck when I entered this one room: [t]http://www.mobygames.com/images/shots/l/379445-beneath-a-steel-sky-dos-screenshot-ventilation-shafts.png[/t]
