well of course nobody here likes signatures but the comment about 'people might think you're being serious with that obviously laughable work!' is a prick comment plain and simple. you can say that to someone who does obvious 5 second crap and doesn't care but the dude obviously put time and effort into that piece and is still very much a beginner. i've always been an advocate of not sugar coating things in the thread but i have never been an advocate of being a straight up asshole to people especially when theyre trying and learning. something 3v3ryb0dy has consistently been doing since forever
no 3v3rybody has just proven over years and years that he cant be constructive at all and seems to have some sort of compulsive problem with being a dick to everyone
i've got him on fb and he actually posts constructive criticism to me on there (which is a really weird forum to do it on i guess but yeh he can do it) his work is pretty swell too
o you guyse seem to love me with all the chatter you are doing here. if you think "now that I got those zings I can go constructive: it is no where near copper or metal in general. Look at metal balls, they have very sharp highlights and very deep shadows and sharp contrasts. Try to block in the areas you see on a metal ball, watch for the negative space, where the refraction and reflection originate from and then try to replicate it. Do it in greyscale first, as its really hard to try and learn metal with color at first. You can't draw from head what you don't have in it. ctrlpaint might have some tutorials on that subject as well. " is not construcive or guiding in any way then you can take you can stay here and play with your flat balls and and smudged drawings on lined paper photographed with a phone camera in the darkest basement at myspace angles. I'm going back to deviantart where they can really take and appreciate real critisism and chill with ma chums preston and that whore who draws cat pictures every day
it has nothing to do with being constructive or not, drop the asshole attitude about it you seem to like displaying before the cc
too much waah and not enough artwork in here. fix it
too much waah and not enough artwork in here. fix it
Yes master, I will return to the sweatshop immediately.
too much waah and not enough artwork in here. fix it
irony
I'm planning on creating a web comic and decided to do it traditional ink + pen style. I'm just practicing to use it now, but this is really fun. I just feel like sharing here;
That's really awesome, thanks for sharing.
what's with the pikachu cheeks though
No other reason than that I like to draw them.
too much waah and not enough artwork in here. fix it
i too feel entitled
None of this doing anything any good.

How exactly do I make it available for Print? As I have a higher res version of that without some of the fancy effects though.
everybody shut up about 3v3rybody and look at my unnecessarily huge color control center
oh this reminds me, is there a way to show both the HSB colour sliders and the LAB sliders at the same time in photoshop? And is there a keyboard shortcut to bring up the colour picker window?
Ctrl+Alt+Right click brings up an on screen colour picker if you have OpenGL stuff enabled You don't need to hold ctrl+alt once the picker is visible Hold space to 'free' the mouse cursor and move between the colour wheel and the saturation/luminance box
eh i don't really like that thing
Messing around with my new tabby
meh the whirlpool ended up muddy and I still suck with colours
The big water spashes make the scene looks so small. Or is it?
meh the whirlpool ended up muddy and I still suck with colours
I agree with Riku; at the moment I'm imagining a lighthouse to be about 1/4 as tall as that mountain-range/peninsula to the right, but without some point of scale reference I can't know for sure
Kuler in Photoshop? :psyboom:
it was hidden in view>extensions on CS6, I didn't add it. I wish there was an equivalent for ColourLovers.com, I prefer that service. Could be the extra level of being able to balance the amount of a color in your palette, different emphasis on colors can make a huge difference in the feel and can give you different inspirations vs also all the pattern stuff is just fun to tool around in
What is Kuler for?
I haven't drawn anything for days, so have a random dragon whelp.
