Any kind of explanation or concept behind that? I'm somewhat intrigued
Hey, I'm having fun, and there's an ignore button for a reason. What I'm doing isn't against the rules AFAIK. [editline]25th July 2012[/editline] Plus it's just a bunch of text (and/or a picture) on a screen, I don't understand how it can bother you that much unless it's something inflamatory or graphic.
But it doesn't work like someone posts once and I don't like it and I ignore them Nor is it like I just won't say anything unless I'm mortally offended by your posts
I remember the days when you wouldn't act like a dick about pointless stuff no one cares about. Wait No I don't
Generally all of my posts in CC are either complimentary or constructive or both I'm aware you don't like me, I've been actively not giving a shit for as long as I can remember your username, so go ahead and take shots at me at every opportunity if it makes you feel better [editline]26th July 2012[/editline]
Really rough sketch for future working-on
Maybe instead of brown/grey/beige combos you should try laying the first layer down in greyscale? I recall you doing it once and it looked good iirc

Greyscale images tend to feel a lot different than colour. I might give it a shot though!

I understand Dr. Who is great and all, but that can be a really great and dark piece if you just remove that. [editline]26th July 2012[/editline] Oh my god I love this, no idea why.
Police Box the point is to build on the narrative of the Doctor though. From behind and with only a sonic screwdriver (pretty much a stick with a light on it if we look at it aesthetically), it's very hard to tell that he's the Doctor. Combine this with the lack of already established aliens from the show and we end up with the Tardis being the only thing in the image that actually lets us know that it's Doctor Who
Hey guys, this past month I haven't been able to stick to a painting/drawing for longer than a half hour or so. Looking back I realize that this has affected all my art, as a greater level of finish and detail could be applied. I get cool compositions, colour patterns, and design elements that snap into my head, and I feel like i just HAVE to draw them, even if I'm working on something completely different. I think that if I leave this unchecked, it will affect my portfolio. (no finished pieces. I know finished work is not a very important part of a portfolio, but it looks bad to have nothing). I am a pretty good artist. I feel like I could be much better, and have much more to show for it, if I can present a design that has been fully thought through and completed. what do

Here's the previously mentioned project that SockFC was raving about earlier to poll y'all about the art style: Your name is Sock McCormick, and you have currently departed from your slumber all thanks to a computer notification. Although you can’t quite remember which dream you had, you feel as if there are much more important matters to be tended to, like typing in a manor similar to yelling at whoever messaged you on Skype. >Investigate computer It appears your predictions were correct. QCD_MATTER, better known as your friend Rebi, has been messaging you for the longest time. You are not particularly interested in replying to him during the wee hours of the morning, but anything is better than that damned “beep”. >Message him QCD_MATTER: Hello, Sock. QCD_MATTER: You there? QCD_MATTER: I’ll take the 20 minute long silence as a, “no”… QCD_MATTER: Of course, only Sock sleeps until noon.. DISTURBED_FOOTCLOTH: wait what DISTURBED_FOOTCLOTH: noon DISTURBED_FOOTCLOTH: wat QCD_MATTER: Indeed. I’m rather surprised that you beat your previous high-score of 12:30. DISTURBED_FOOTCLOTH: yeah yeah you’re so friggin witty QCD_MATTER: Now, you see, there’s a parade of sorts downtown. I did not know if you were planning to go or not (presumably not!), but it seems as if most everyone is going. DISTURBED_FOOTCLOTH: ok this involves me how QCD_MATTER: Only so you won’t run around your house screaming, “where are my parents?!” like you did last time. DISTURBED_FOOTCLOTH: number 1 screw you, number 2 I know that there’s this huge orgy or whatever going on downtown DISTURBED_FOOTCLOTH: i’ve seen more status updates about it then about breakups on facebook DISTURBED_FOOTCLOTH: very hard to beat QCD_MATTER: Alright, then. Before you ask, I did not attend in favor of returning to my studies. DISTURBED_FOOTCLOTH: ok have fun with your cat porn you found on godknowswhere QCD_MATTER: Please refrain from confusing me with the likes of Dave. By “studies” I meant researching various phenomena and the culture of the Internet. DISTURBED_FOOTCLOTH: so reading journals on deviantart QCD_MATTER: Quite. >Pet dog As you turn around to pet your dog, you come to the realization that she is not present. Despite her always being next to your desk when you are operating your personal computer, she is not present. Welp. >Look under mattress Hmm, nothing of value here aside from several magazines, an Aged Cookie, and some discarded tissues. >Devour cookie. You aren’t so sure that eating this Aged Cookie would be a great idea. You decide to pocket it. >Pocket the Aged Cookie Perfect. You somehow know that this Aged Cookie will come in handy later. For now, though, it must remain within your Inventory. Now, didn’t we have a dog to find? >Step outside of room and enter the hallway The house is silent, the pitter-patter of your parent’s feet and the mumbling of their voices nowhere to be heard. You have no idea how long they have been at the parade for, you’re only sure of two things: Your dog is missing and you’re home alone. >Examine framed photograph Yep, that’s your furry companion, Lacey. Not to be confused with your other Furry companion, Dave, but that’s another story. This is indeed a fascinating photograph, brilliantly showcasing her elegance and beauty. Anyways, that's the first bit of it, my friend wanted me to post it here to see how coldly this'd be received. Y'all still think the artstyle is preferable?
Uh, it really depends. What are you going for? Also, fuck art; not finished, obviously
[thumb]http://i.cubeupload.com/vUltLl.jpg[/thumb]
Lines aren't that fluid, so while far away it looks GREAT, close-up it looks pretty shoddy. Try working on shape and line quality!
Just a quick sketch.
comic thing
Too much like homestuck imho
Too much like homestuck imho
It's more the fact I don't know what's going on, with these fluorescent colors and the complete lack of perspective in these panels. Also I really do despise that kind of narration. It incites too much the slow and boring 'blah-blah-blah', that no one should care about (or irrevelant to the plot), in these "comics".
Still sounds like homestuck
The >Command that isn't actually a reader command system? It's just a basic way to give people an idea of what the peach colored sphere with a rectangular body is doing. I'm not the person who writes or draws these, but I'm still kinda irked by how much people says it rips off of pretty much everything. Someone even said it's too much like Eddsworld for whatever reason, I'm still trying to work that one out. I'll tell Sock that the nation thinks that the comic-plot-story-draw-thing-whatever is bloke.
Lines aren't that fluid, so while far away it looks GREAT, close-up it looks pretty shoddy. Try working on shape and line quality!
Yeah I'm going to start trying things neatly soon, thanks broskie ♥.

Looks great! Reminds me of an illustration from some older book for children (that's not a bad thing at all).
redwall? (that's what i thought of too!)

At some first millisecond I thought he's playing rock on guitar. Really nice style. Looks cool.
Did some more work on that sketch I posted earlier, might add a background later on.

it's a pirat

I love this so much
Still sounds like homestuck
How? >Commands aren't really MSPA's invention.
