Virtually done now - I'm going to take a break and when I come back I'm going to vigorously detail and fix small errors until I'm finished. For the first time I'm actually fairly pleased with the result of something I've made:
the dildo drill didnt spark more concern?
I've seen enough drilldos in my time not to be too shocked, son
the dildo drill didnt spark more concern?
Dildos on stick, drills and whatever. It's mainstream by now man. We're used to it.
Scoped knives and cats however...
Clean and nice looking icons by the way. Looks good.
I come in here and look at all your guys' awesome work.
Makes me sad that I can't do that shit though, keep up the good work.

they're really good but the one with the fist really sticks out because of the thicker lines, why did you not make them the same thickness as all the other lines
line thickness varies for readability and scaling, it really has to look like a fist when it's small in game, not just a blob

i get that but it works fine for the pistol hand for example so why not use it for the fist
the lines on all other things are perfectly visible so why wouldn't they be on the fist
because the first isnt as recognizable like a gun is, its just kind of a blob, it needs a little more definition. besides, in game it doesn't at all stand out as having different line, but it does have thicker lines and it does read as a fist (i think) moreso than were it the same width as the rest
Is that the wisp from Brave?
Yes!
Quite surprised as in my opinion it looks nothing like it.
It was my intention to try and paint the one from the movie but it went a different way.
Going to try to paint it again and will do my best to keep it closer to the ones from the movie.
Quickly doodled a nam era marine dude.

Hey man, just remember the artists you see aren't born with such talent, it's a mountain with no summit they climb, you can look up and gawk or you can start climbing it for yourself.
Yeah.

Oh well, honestly, this was done while I was totally offline (some issues on the ISP side). So, this guy is completely based on my memory and some muddy screenshots from "Full metal jacket". I guess, there are lots of things completely off.

You really need to go darker and lighter, it lacks contrasts in it's values.
Two reasons it's flat:
1) It's way too dark grey light grey. Not enough black and white. If you look it up in Photoshop you'll see there is a HUGE gap with absolutely no information on the black side of the spectrum, and a small gap on the light side.
2) You haven't actually defined any forms. You haven't given him a headshape, you just merged it into his body. His eyes sorta goes into his head but it doesn't look much like it because the rest of his chin is on the same level as the eye, not to mention that the chins again is almost on the same level as the rest of his body.

thanks yeah it felt like his face was slapped on his body with no head shape, got too into the face rendering without defining the bigger forms first
DGG IT UP!!
i usually like the high key, lower contrast look but this time he's right, it was low contrast to the point of not knowing what's what
i know, i was just kidding :(

when will u learn

You want everything washed out so learning from you would be a mistake as well.
And no, his values are bad. They are objectively bad. You really can't say they are good, even if you want it to have low contrast.
shes a bit uh, bony. muscular bony, not very attractive.
Torso is way too short, but im sure ur aware of that since you have been told before, I will assume you used some kind of ref?
clouds are good.
Ye. I see that now. I should study muscular body-types more closely, because while power girl is beefed up, she's not supposed to be bony nor unattractive.
as for the torso: i corrected the awful midget proportions but still didn't the sufficient amount of change because i forgot to take my brain medicine.
thanks for the feedback everyone. much appreciated
