cleaned it up a bit more but everything is mud
But that's the whole purpose of a tablet. To have the pressure sensitivity. Otherwise I could just use a mouse. What's your alternative to transfer?
I'm thinking that the spring in the pen itself might have snapped.
My pressure sensitivity is on by default, I don't need to activate anything on Photoshop to make it work. Have you checked your tablet settings?

Painted the horsehead nebula. Fuckton of copying to make those lens flares.
Horsehead is for scrubs, the Eagle nebula is way superior
quick character design i made

what do you think about colours?

my curse is that I can only draw celebrities
some sorta self portrait in A Scanner Darkly style

I think some of the detail lines are too thin, or at least not as consistant as a scanner darky
it's also missing some detail where it's needed
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_T-hKTxzrbus/TOkWqExchmI/AAAAAAAAAZ4/WgAV5uBqMOQ/s1600/scanner-darkly-5.jpg
i think for a girl like yourself you'd need to draw a few more eyelashes, and give the eys a bit more detail
also some more skin creases but in solid black with a coloured background
[editline]7th August 2012[/editline]
you get the general idea
[editline]7th August 2012[/editline]
also i know you traced it (which is fine btw thats what they did for the movie) but your face shape still seems odd and off, you might want to define it more with some extra lines somewhere maybe?
yeah i can see what you're saying, but i'm bored to death of it now though. also not really sure where i'd put any more defining lines. shame i don't have a proper moustache really, i think that helps his face a lot. and as for face shape *shrug*, i just traced it from my photo so i wouldn't know where to start about changing that
this is also what i used as the film ref http://images.allmoviephoto.com/2006_A_Scanner_Darkly/2006_a_scanner_darkly_016.jpg
and this is my face
http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/362_31624317249_3381_n.jpg
popping a few eyelashes on now though

i think the reason the style works so well is that it's in motion
it's not all that pretty to look at when static
who said it has to be? haha
it was a good exercise anyway, Ai runs a dream on this SSD
i think you're drawn your hair curving in too early it makes your head shape seem weird
but it curves in all the way down on my head?
who said it has to be? haha
well its a nice experiment but u cant really say your work isnt supposed to be visually pleasing
[editline]7th August 2012[/editline]
but it curves in all the way down on my head?
no like, top left
in ur pic ur hair goes in cuz ur hats squashing it
it should poke out a lot more since ur not wearing a hat
more like http://i.imgur.com/sgaVX.png ?
the problem for me is the line work is too flat, there's no depth or variation to the thickness.
more like http://i.imgur.com/sgaVX.png ?
ye
I think it's aight; reminds me of 'Waltz with Bashir' a bit
But I'm not really qualified to judge vectorey stuff
its me im the vector judge

Me: So these are the Pearly Gates then?
God: Yep.
Me: And...and you're God? Bill Murray?
God (Bill Murray): Yes, my child.
Me: Okay. I'm okay with that...But...Before I go in, can I just ask you one question?
God (Bill Murray): Go ahead.
Me: What was the meaning of life?
God (Billy Murray): It was drawing big dumb toothy smiles.
Me: HA! HA, YOU FUCKERS. I KNEW IT.
what
but it curves in all the way down on my head?
Your actual hair covers your whole face. There are no flicks just curling right in on your face.
And in the reference you don't have any ears visible, which is important, because right now your illustration shows a woman with a fisheye-lens stuck up in her face.
From what I can tell you've taken a lot of freedom with the curves of your chin as well, making everything wider and fatter increasing that wide-lens feel which makes the face unnaturally wide.
Alright guys, this is more a request than anything else.
I need this kewl logo that I made, converted to a .paa file. I tried it myself but I just can't get it to keep the alpha channel. Please help me.
Any critizism for the logo itself is appreciated too. My members haven't really commented on it and I can't tell if people think it's good or just meh.

I tried following this tutorial, but no dice. Still a big ugly white background instead of purdy alpha.

Thanks in advance guys!
Why do you need it in .paa? I've never heard of that file extension ever. Is it for some fancy fantastical plasma cutting device or something?
I'm not having a go; I'm just interested haha
a little googling seems to suggest it's for in-game graphics
[editline]6th August 2012[/editline]
but agreed, it's not an extension i've ever heard of either. corewarp, are there any PS extensions that could help you handle the file a bit better?

I have a .paa plugin for Photoshop, which allows me to open and save as .paa. BUT when I do it, the alpha channel goes out the window. Which is why I was wondering if someone else with another version of Photoshop or GIMP perhaps, would do me a flavor.
EDIT: Incidentially, .paa is a graphic format for OFP and Arma 2.

I want to explore this. Is there anyone living there?
I'm tempted to imagine that there are some camps of people and maybe even small tribes/societies, but they are few and far between. This is an awesome concept.
