Okay guys, second try at painting an environment ever. What do you guys think? It's an improvement on my first one right? This was my first one which I did yesterday:

One big improvement, I have to say.
Quick enviro painting. One of my first attempts at jumping straight into colour, it definitely has advantages over greyscale but it's harder for me.
looks like i need to start practising environments
looks sexy, can't wait to see it in colour. I have no clue how to color this. Can anyone help me?
looks sexy, can't wait to see it in colour. Made another one. I really like to paint why haven't I tried this earlier... Some arches in the desert, rain is coming though.
I guess the point of these is to be quick, but I'd really like to see these with more refinement and detail.
once you get used to it, you're gonna love it. also, are you drawing on a tablet or just with your mouse?
Mouse, I do own a wacom graphics tablet
Mouse, I do own a wacom graphics tablet
so why are you using a mouse
draw on your tablet
I'm on HOLIDAY NOW BITCHES!! You're not really bitches I hope I didn't offend you I just wanted to say bitches as a way of amplifying my excitement. Please don't take it to heart ♥♥♥ Now I can do some environments entirely from intuition rather than having to work towards designing a specific object or illustrating a specific story. It's gon be fun
so why are you using a mouse
For some odd reason when I draw using a tablet my hand slants to the right which is usual however I am hoping to use it again for practice reasons
You mean unusual? Just turn your tablet to compensate
No it's my hand that slants, tablet works well and it's 4 years old.
[thumb]http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2012/236/3/2/mud_by_timehive-d5cbg4v.jpg[/thumb] 12"x9" Acrylic on board. Going through whale tubes on psychedelics. The texture of the board isn't as visible/shiny in person. How much should I sell this one for? I think it looks like shite. Also finished my kitchen set [thumb]http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/616273_173416592793808_1566425167_o.jpg[/thumb] Someone asked what I used for finish. I only use mineral oil and beeswax. I'm now working on a custom knife sharpener with sandpaper. It's sharp enough to cut veggies, not steak. I don't eat steak. [thumb]http://th04.deviantart.net/fs70/PRE/i/2011/309/e/7/self_centered_portrait_by_timehive-d4f7qoc.jpg[/thumb] Sold my self portrait for 2D design to my aunt for 50. I butchered the nose. Surprised anyone would actually want it. [thumb]http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2012/203/5/b/magic_garden_prototypes_by_timehive-d5881ld.jpg[/thumb] Lastly, I just sold these thingers for 15 each at an art walk. Rolling in dough? certainly not. I didn't spend any money though.
I feel like the only one using fireworks :suicide:
Nope, Fireworks is pretty much all I use
No it's my hand that slants, tablet works well and it's 4 years old.
and thats bad because? You do know that the pen doesnt have to be used perpendicular to the tablet right? The great folks at Wacom have designed it to be used like any other writing/drawing implement.
I got myself into a psychiatric ward and I have plenty of time there to draw so I have been doodling pages and pages of stuff, earlier today I tried some watercolors + traditional inkin' just for the fun of it and I enjoyed my time. Here is some pictures taken by my poor mobile. Hey I was trying to draw a cave environment but then I realized that it looked more like an anus than a cave. http://i.imgur.com/CODDC.png Can you help me? I can never draw rocks, it always comes up as squiggles, I think I'm not patient enough.
Finished up this:
