I think you did a pretty good job! [editline]4th October 2012[/editline] Does anyone know any good tutorials for drawing with a tablet? I have a lot of issues with colors and shading, in general. Thanks in advance.
Still looking for a brush like this. Anyone? [sp]page king[/sp]
Make one like that yourself?
Still looking for a brush like this. Anyone? [sp]page king[/sp]
Go to photoshop and brushes panel and chose a round brush. Then literally squeeze it on the image of it.. I do it all the time on the fly. Or you can save it.

2D Sketches of NSE armor. From light to heavy, from little to fuckloads of effort. [thumb]http://imageshack.us/a/img4/6862/nselight.png[/thumb][thumb]http://imageshack.us/a/img69/5279/nsemedium.png[/thumb][thumb]http://imageshack.us/a/img193/2521/nseheavy.png[/thumb]
youre putting in a lot of detail and stuff but you have no sense of anatomy or form. if you want to improve you'll need to study and practice a lot.
Finally getting time to do some creative work. Uni is killing me slowly. (WIP)
Sum livedrawing. She was really pretty and I feel like I've failed miserably trying to put that on paper. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/Ex2Tx.jpg[/img_thumb]
Flowing confident lines, good work.
Looks great! The style gives me a very warm and fuzzy feeling.
Haha, thanks.
What would you all say to a bit of alpha testing for Cardigan next week? I'll post a thread in the games subforum or whatever, but I thought I'd let my home dawgs know first. The base coding is nearly done, sans a bit of tweaking and optimising. The art is almost non-existent at the moment but we don't need that to test gameplay. I'll probably write a few questions regarding the gameplay and ask everybody to reply to the OP using those questions
Hull table. I created a 16 gauge steel leg and changed the geometry and lowered the table down to standard coffee table hight. Really pleased with how it has turned out. Now that my proof of concept is done I'm going to mill some nice quality wood to use in the final product. The table top will be a half inch glass wedge shape, not finalized yet. Really happy with this design, especially since I did it all without one of my hands, my cast will be off next week so I'll be able to attack the final product. Here is a photoshop of it with a glass top. Shouldn't be very expensive either. [img_thumb]http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a345/ajackss/null-2.png?t=1349458106[/img_thumb]
I drew my uncle. He has been in the army and now he works in Belgium as...I don't know who. We barely see each other and I am gonna include this drawing in the postcard. I can wait for months, if not weeks to see his response.
Just bought my very first sketchbook
I'm done I guess. Prints when I have the money, A2 (42x59,4cm), colored/bw.
i think the greyscale one needs a lot more contrast, but i love the colour one!
i think the greyscale one needs a lot more contrast, but i love the colour one!
Contrast or white highlights? Because I wanted greys, mostly.
The colored version humans look to dark to me, I would make them a tad brighter. I really like the picture though.
highlights i guess the background and the gravel/earth is just right, but the humans are too dark

I'd do something like this. Gives it more depth IMO.
Right now these are versions coming straight out of the oven, so I might be prone to visual persistence (that's usually why it takes me a lot of time to make color versions (indirect process etc) or it is because of my non-calibrated screen. Either way you guys are right, these need a bit of level recovery/compensation and also, from experience I know that my screen is brighter than most. I will change the levels of the different statues so I have more perspective too. Anyway, these are now the closest things to printable versions. Danke schön for your advices, I'm happy to see that what I thought was wrong is wrong making you and me right making the picture allright if I'm right. /rapping
So I made this really quick practice watercolor today cause I've never tried watercolor before and I wanted to see how the colors work and blend and everything so ignore horrible proportions and shitty shading. This isn't the big one I'm doing of Lennon btw, just a practice. I'll post the real one when I get more progress done on it.

it doesnt have any movement, dynamic, etc.
Final version of this for now. I basically made up the anatomy and I've been working on it for a while so wondered if it looks weird to others.
Wow, you guys are really great artists! I love your drawings Haunted ;o Can anyone recommend some websites for a complete beginner to start to learn to draw? Not for me, I can't draw AT ALL, and don't think I'd ever be able to. My girlfriend has started to enjoy it though and she'd love some tips :)

Also I'd redo the tilted texture with proper displacement maps and make it look thinner/inexistant on the bones.
despite speedpainting stuff with no reference thus not really learning new things, it still feels good to be so productive i think i might force myself to do a painting a day forever

I find it really hard to add backgrounds afterwoods but I'll try and make it better. And you're right about the textures, i got lazy.
Wow, you guys are really great artists! Can I get quick feedback on this? [IMG_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/dFp1I.jpg[/IMG_thumb] It is a poster for the MUN club I'm supposed to work on. Does it just look... boring? I don't really know where to go.

I don't really know where to go.
Well first things first, correct your spelling. Missiles not Missles. And I'd remove the period after country. Otherwise I think the overall idea is good but something is making it a little hard to read for me.
