Got a tablet yesterday. I've never used one before, or done much digital art. I was messing around on it, trying it out on Gimp. Started out as a blob of scribbles, turned into a car driving at night and then morphed into a dead astronaut.
Can I get quick feedback on this?

It is a poster for the MUN club I'm supposed to work on.
Does it just look... boring? I don't really know where to go.
Your tagline is too difficult and takes too long to read in my opinion.
The spacing mixed with the length, mixed with it all being exactly the same makes it take longer to read than it typically should. The spelling and punctuation doesn't help.
first thing's first
Welp, I guess I was never taught that. I was under the impression the phrase was "first thing is first"
Now I know it is actually that "First things (should be placed) first"
Learn something new every day facepunch, thanks!
I've lost my best version to a fucking PS crash. One last setting and it was all good.
FUUUUUUUUU

shit, that's the worst.. CS6 autosaves your work now, so when it crashes there's usually a recovered document. It's pretty hit and miss, though. I've had a few occasions where it didn't recover what I was working on and I was pretty shit out of luck
The third thing I have done on the tablet. The second isn't finished. Probably won't look great anyway, but hey.
I'm really liking how this turned out. This tablet is really neat.
This guy started as funky squiggly bits in the background that looked ever so vaguely like sanskrit. So I drew an onion-cap and went from there. Stereotypes all the way.

I tried recording my process of this with CamStudio
shit program, didn't even recover the .avi
At least I have the final product

C&C please
Made this one today. Fifth thing. Haven't finished any that aren't on here. Probably won't. When I lose steam I seem to just stop.

both of you should probably use higher opacity brushes because the pieces are pretty blurry
okay

What Chesty said, and I think you should put way more contrast in you pictures, especially in the things like metal objects. Because your submarine looks like it's made of some plastic. Metal is all about contrasts, and adding the darker values, highlights and placing them near eaсh other in some parts will strongly benefit for treating the material as a metal.
I like the picture though, it has a nice feeling of depth and stuff.
First sketch in my sketchbook. Fucking clouds.. after all these years I still suck at drawing them.

I think this is turning out better than the one I posted here before!
my previous drawing looks so raw and unfinished lol
may I have some tips please?
Is that the elf dude from LOTR/the hobbit? Looks great so far by the way.

That's Agent Smith from The Matrix.
I managed to break the USB port on my Bamboo. It wasn't even old.
It still works somehow but if I move it even by little it disconnects.
Time to use paper and pencil again.
The second sketch..

Rock/Cliff could have looked better if I had photostudied beforehand. But oh well..

Last time i post this I promise. I tried to apply peoples advice and I think it's turned out way better. But i'm going to leave it now and move on.
the detail in the legs and tail kinda bleed out in a cool way that a lot of concept workers do in a way that shows depth but also so they can just concentrate on the bits that need detailing, like the head... only the edges where your detail blurs out are really sharp and have some weird aliasing. it looks odd
when doing future projects, be sure to take lost and found edges and everything in between in consideration. edges that are in the dark will be blurry, whereas those in light will be crisper
Cool, i'm sure that will be quite easy to add in. I'll give it a go :)

Nice!
I'd give more thought to the shape of the head to make it look a bit more organic and a bit less astronaut-helmet in terms of overall form.
The rocks above his head look neat, but they don't really support any clear purpose in their movement. The 'things spinning around the head' is generally a signifier for confusion or being dazed by a knock on the head.

If that's what badly drawn clouds look like then I must be from some special part of artistic hell, sent by Satan to make any artistically inclined person bite their pen in half and give up hope.
Maybe I should just stick to drawing with words...

when i made him i was thinking he'd pick up pieces of "ground" and leave them levitating above him, so he'd pick them up and throw them at enemies or w/e.
it was a doodle anyways.
They definitely made me think 'Earth-elemental', not "this big monster got dazed".
More flora stuff. Man, I love drawing these but I really need to think more about shapes and types..
