Nice!
But keep an eye on those desaturated values, especially on the underside of the cheek bones just below the ear
Ignore the ear area seriously :v:
I'm still learning to draw!

Did you use a reference? If you didn't try doing that pose and looking at yourself in a mirror.
I would switch that quiver to the other side of his head and moving the left arm further forwards, usually you would have the arrows behind your free arm. The forearm looks a bit too thin below the elbow and is slightly too long, usually your arms completely straight would come to where they are now so bring the wrist up to about the belt.
Im sure someone else could give you a much more indepth/ better critique.
Ive recently started doing lifedrawing classes and the thing that has helped me most is drawing the head shape first (just a simple one) then a line for his spine. After that get the angles for the shoulders and waist. Once you are confident the chest and head are proportionally correct the limbs will be much easier.

This is very nice, but at the angle we're seeing it I don't think the horizon should be as low as that
Or maybe it's the distance to the horizon reading wrong, I don't know. Something is up there

You use of line has overwhelmingly made his testicles the focus of the drawing

Traditionally a bow that's strung will have more of a bend do it
They have at least a 20 degree curve, up from a 0-10 unstrung
just something to consider. It seems most people think bows only strain when drawn, but they're under a pretty good amount of stress just with the string on. If you tap the limbs of a strung bow you'll feel the reverberation for a good 5 or 6 seconds
Randomly decided to finish this

I've only just started to get my own hang of digital illustration.
Some advice would be appreciated.
What could this illustration do with?
Particularly the background, I'm still not sure.
I also have a video of the process.

Dunno why, but jam a cap and some sunglasses onto him and he turns into Hunter S Thompson.
i think the likeness is intentional, there are many fear and loathing references in the movie
[editline]5th November 2012[/editline]
as well as the fact rango is played by johnny depp
I can't decide if I liked that movie or I just liked that it made so many good references to fear and loathing

Ah thats just cool :D Is this animated in photoshop or something else?
Yeah it's Photoshop
Also drew some stuff, Ive been studying anatomy and trying some stuff in charcoal but I'm still not confident that my shading is very accurate so If anyone could give me some tips on that that would be cool.

Any sort of tips or criticism? I don't think I did a very good job and I want to improve.
I'm a bit confused by the pixelation but its a p.nice aesthetic I guess :)
Id say ad a bit more shading, change the direction of the light source if you need to, also highlights in the hair mabe?
New tablet arrived today!
Holy crap I'm pretty excited. It's a medium Bamboo Fun, so significantly larger than my Graphire 4. It takes so long for the pen to get from one side to the other it's like fuckin' oregon trail
IT also turns out that if you plug two wacom tablets into the same computer you can map each tablet to a different monitor; makes it much easier for doing art and dealing with references on a second screen without having to switch between pen and mouse
Damn, that reminds me that I've had an Intuos 4 for almost 11 months and not once have I made a serious piece of art with it.
What is wrong with me.
