Holy crap! That's amazing.
I think more clarity in the wings and more tension in the hood where he's hanging would make it perfect
I was watching Leon: The Professional again. Sketched this out.
I fucking love Mathilda.

[QUOTE=Lilyo;38343309]Ok I did more work on it. Should I fix anything else?

I think the upper right lip is a hair too low/small and the lines between the eyebrows need to be fainter. Other than that, it's excellent.
The idea just popped up to my head this morning, so I made a few vectors.

That film was so creepy and unconvincing
Tried working on two at once so that I don't fall into facebook too often

Trying out some more advanced colour corrections and an unsharp mask in the second one
that bottom one finally looks almost like something you wouldn't paint. the colours actually have some depth and there's no grey-brown rock and flat paper house thing
nice work
I love the square brushwork combined with the sponges or whatever it is you always use, real style potential there. On the left I mean mainly
I don't like the background at all though, it's badly thought out and has no colour or lighting relevance to the foreground
And actually I'd like to see you stay away from that super textured spongy brush and paint a scene with just square brushes (or even just any brush with a consistent non-ragged edge) since it looks nice but I think you've used it a bit too much throughout your recent work

Finally you're going in the right direction with the colours. Keep up the good work!

It's nice but it lacks any solid grounding imo, you have the basic features in but nothing is explained, why are the rocks formed like that? what causes it to fade off so rapidly and what's the cloud-like substance worming its way through the area.
Good start though but it just lacks a few things.
Also the tonal recession is way too apparent.
I like it, but the flat blob of dark grey in the bottom right is bothering me loads

I agree I need to remove that!
Okay another paint:

It's like a rocky shore in a storm.
I know it's quite flat I'm going to change that soon, I'm getting the hang of painting a bit!

I don't think 'why the rocks are formed like that' is an issue; given that we're looking at a fantasy narrative and a quick concept piece at that it's assume that that's simply the type of landscape that the character is in
I would say the cloud like substance is mist or fog, or actual cloud due to high altitude; also something that doesn't really need explaining any further graphically
The fading is weird how the distant objects appear lighter than the backdrop. The only way that'll occur is if there's extreme light hitting the distant rocks or if they're suddenly all covered in snow, both of which are implausible at the moment
I love the piece otherwise though

Man it doesnt look like inspired, it looks like he used a drawing of a midjet ukrainian козак as reference. I mean I think I saw the head on the right somewhere.
I recently watched The Deluge, so yeah, I tried for a 17th century Polish theme.
