Tried to do another ASMR recording tonight but didn't have much to talk about Resultant speed paint I'll go back and work on it a heap more when I can
Well you did put little people on it (Though I don't see how they're going to get off again, maybe that ship marooned them there or something?)
wow yeah, what a huge oversight :v: I'll consider design/functionality more in my next one.

I was casually browsing Malof's deviantart gallery when I suddenly noticed that I was using one of his pictures as my phone wallpaper for around a year. The "wake" one. I once found it randomly on the internet.

Thanks for the feedback.

If anyone happens to want a Hernando the Wonderpug print I'm going to get some from my SU's printshop tomorrow. I'm charging £5 for A4, £8 for A3 and £15 for A2, but I'll do them for 2/3 price because I feel bad for basically advertising on here. c: In other news, despite trying to save all my pennies for a cintiq I've ordered some charcoal pencils because I'm absolutely terrible at resisting the call of art materials. :v:
You should advertise on Reddit or something, I'm assuming they'll eat it up.
your art and choice in music impress me incredibly
Thanks! [editline]19th November 2012[/editline] Finally put together the one I recorded last night
Colored it in and stuff.

Maybe I should hold off though, hmm. :c [editline]19th November 2012[/editline] Thanks for the tipoff about reddit btw, I'll look into it. [editline]19th November 2012[/editline] looking into an intuos instead, now. I have a volito2 from ages ago, but its just so teeny tiny.
Finally a proper art class after ~9 years of vagabonding study.. [t]http://puu.sh/1rUIW[/t][t]http://puu.sh/1rUJh[/t][t]http://puu.sh/1rUJ3[/t] Nox, how can I get better at cross-hatching? Because they don't allow other methods of shading here.

Ahh it's unbearable, I can't think of anything to draw and it's all I want to do at the moment...
Wanted to share something with you people. Its not nowhere near most of your works, but whatever. Was bored and that happened [t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/76355585/Photo%2019.11.12%2C%2016%2030%2000.png[/t]

Then when I came back here, all my drawings were lost. Oh well. Anyway, how big are your drawings how? Ive had people ask me a lot about cross hatching, I usually just tell them to follow the shape and feel of the object being drawn. Its kinda vague but I really cant explain it better
Would anyone with any experience using larger tablets be able to say how much of an improvement they are from smaller ones? I've reconsidered getting a cintiq, now I'm looking at an Intuos5 (the touch feature seems like it could be a bit of a gimmick, but the ones without touch don't seem that much cheaper so I might as well go for it).
went from a tiny old tablet to a intuos4 large. it owns
Yeah I'm thinking I'm definitely not going to regret getting a large, and I've been so focused on trying to afford a cintiq for £600-£800 that £400 feels really obtainable. :v:
i got a intuos5 medium and it broke within a month so that wasn't great. it's in germany at the moment
Ew, how come it broke?
it started having connectivity issues and then just decided to never power up ever again. tried it with other usb ports, other pcs, other cables but nothing
Finally a proper art class after ~9 years of vagabonding study. Nox, how can I get better at cross-hatching? Because they don't allow other methods of shading here.
An excellent thread on hatching with a pen, I suggest doing some of the exercises http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?117915-Guidelines Try to think in layers when doing hatching type shading, begin with single lined hatching, then move onto cross-hatching and filling in occlusion shadows. Always hatch along the form rather than against, like a contour drawing. Hope that helps.

Get the intuos4 medium (or the new intuos5 medium). I bought mine for 300$ a while ago and it was the best investment ever. If you really want to invest and have enough money get the large. If you want something cheaper get a monoprice ($100)
