Tried a background. Its supposed to be 3D since I took 2 pics of the snow outside today. If you have some glasses laying around try it with them on and tell me how it looks. Since the background itself doesnt have a lot of depth for it to look 3D, I was hoping it would make a depth difference with the deer. Anyway, yeah thats that. If theres any other comments that arent "oh u postd ur deer u suk dik :((" then tell me. YEAH IM SORRY, ITS HERE AGAIN, BUT I PROMISE I WONT FILL 2 PAGES WITH THE SAME THING
Yeah, the deer hovers over the background. Would of been cooler if the background was a picture of space or something, since it's already got spots in it that looks like stars, because, well, the snow is just some messy looking lump of grey fluffy matter that doesn't really make any sense right now. I also think space just generally fit with the style, images of clouds or space is usually used in art pieces that has the same look to them. I would also suggest trying to give the cut pieces different amounts of depth to make it look like they really are cut apart.
snip, wrong thread

Dirt cheap too.
Here's a Draw-This-Again piece.

Here are the previous pieces at the Draw This Again thread. I'd suggest a visit, it's got great potential. http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1227417&p=38735294&viewfull=1#post38735294
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/y5M78.jpg[/img_thumb]
Hah, at first I thought this was a screenshot from a game. Closer inspection reveals that it looks quite bland. Flames should be brighter because they're flames. Flames are bright. There could be a little more contrast too, right now everything blends together. I don't know if this is any better but I messed around with the Exposure tool in Photoshop. The sky almost burned in but I think this gif shows what I was talking about.
Not particularly fancy or well-drawn but fuck it, I'll share this just because.
it's cold as shit, have my hoodie
It's my girlfriend and me c:

There is more depth, but even though you can still make the deer out from the background, both are pretty dark.
Would anyone be willing to help me out? It wouldn't take too long (I don't think), and you'd be doing me a huge favour.

I have been painting lots of houses lately. They are easy and fun to make, and they all get their own character. I find those really appealing, they look great! The 2nd cottage reminds me of the cottage Fitz stayed in (from the Farseer Trilogy).
There is no reason to put the 3D effect on the background really. And the lines are so thick and single-coloured (instead of being a transparent version of the image itself) it hardly hovers now.

Something I drew while I was bored in school.
Reminds me of a creepy Humpty Dumpty.

One could look at the second house and think it's flat until they see the corner in the middle. It's just weird, maybe it's the lack of shadows.

I thought that's what the poster was aiming for? A quirky style, that - in my own opinion - suits the drawings well.
yeah you dont always need a lot of depth or shadows. it's hardly meant to be representational.
Where did you guys learn to sketch/doodle? I'm starting to get bored of making cat scratches on my own notes.

I really want to get into writing again but I'm so lazy. When Navnowrimo came around I was going to write at least a page to get myself back into the spirit, but nope. I have a work on a school computer I'll probably post.
