An axe
I would make the blade's texture contrast more with the handle. Looks great aside from that.
needs more contrast in general but the shape and perspective look good
Yeah it needs some darker shadows on the handle. But other than the lack of contrast its great.
An axe
I can't see it. Oh there we go.
I always ruin the contrast when I work from greyscale oddly enough, Gotta start getting a little bolder I guess. Worked on the contrast.
An axe
Oh wow, thought I was in the TF2 Modelling Emporium for a second there. Awesome stuff.
I actually thought that was a model at first.
Maybe he doesn't have the means to colour it himself? Neither digitally or traditionally.
I don't think you actually believe that to be the reason, but ok; http://www.gimp.org/downloads/

Trying to sketch out a half sleeve focused around the Japanese style - koi, lotus' etc. I am having real difficulty getting the perspective of the flowers right, could any one perhaps give me some tips or direct me to a nice guide somewhere?
TEEN DEER oil on canvas, 16X24 Some proportions are off, but they were kinda hard to fix :I [editline]25th February 2012[/editline] might not be done yet I dunno
sad deer boy is sad
he doesnt like having antlers :(
OOOIIIIILLLSSSSSSSS [editline]25th February 2012[/editline] nice
his antlers make him look like young jesus or something
The clavicle is the first thing that struck me as odd but other than that it's an amazing effort for oils. I'm too scared to even attempt an oil painting, I love how the background wraps around his shoulders though :)
Haha I love this. Whenever I see the whole antler boy I can't help but think of the music video to 'Sugar we're going down'. When your painting on canvas do you sketch first or paint straight on?
his antlers make him look like young jesus or something
when did jesus grow antlers
Referring to the guy who posted his music, I had no idea music counted as something we can post in this thread. Mind If I post some things I made?

:I [editline]26th February 2012[/editline] I didn't wanna go all out and invent the wheel again, I have never touched paint before and doing something I was familiar with was hard enough.
Was it all wet on wet or did you do any layering?
I duno [editline]26th February 2012[/editline] I have stopped taking shit from people who disagree with what I draw, I have been battling this with you guys for a year now, and I'm growing tired of it. My art is varied, but it seems like every time I do something that is only for my liking, someone has to comment on it. Wouldn't it be funny if I disagreed every time anyone here drew a pretty girl, because jeez, people seem to be doing that a lot. But I guess that's ok. Girls are hot right [editline]26th February 2012[/editline] right down your alleys
Nice painting detlef
I subconsciously expected you to do something new and radical or abstract or something when you got the oils
i expected the complete opposite, as stepping out of one's comfort-zone when working with a brand new medium is a preeetty bad idea. Today I painted a japanese monkey from ref. The lasso tool is great fun. and this boy, from imagination.
Pretty cool artist on livestream right now http://www.livestream.com/sketchbla [editline]25th February 2012[/editline]
I have stopped taking shit from people who disagree with what I draw, I have been battling this with you guys for a year now, and I'm growing tired of it. This year I've been trying to branch out more but I'll always love surrealism more than anything else. I know that feel, bro
