I don't know about Photoshop or whatever you're using, but I know Illustrator has a grid tool that basically lets you draw in whatever perspective you're going for.
Might seem kind of lazy but it's handy to get the contour of whatever you're doing.
And find some ref material about how light falls on cars.

Google once considered issuing its own currency, to be called Google Bucks, company Chairman Eric Schmidt said on stage in Barcelona at the Mobile World Congress Tuesday.
At the end of his keynote speech, Schmidt hit on a wide array of topics in response to audience questions. "We've had various proposals to have our own currency we were going to call Google Bucks," Schmidt said.
The idea was to implement a "peer-to-peer money" system. However, Google discovered that the concept is illegal in most areas, he said. Governments are typically wary of the potential for money laundering with such proposals. "Ultimately we decided we didn't want to get into that because of these issues," Schmidt said.
He also hinted that Google might be preparing for a battle in China once its acquisition of Motorola is complete. "Google's been willing to take on China pretty well," he said, in response to a question about whether Google expected to continue to ignore theft of Motorola intellectual property in China, as Motorola has been doing. The acquisition hasn't closed yet, Schmidt noted. "We've taken a pretty strong position on IP. We are well aware of the issues and we are considering your question," he said.
Google is still waiting for some government approvals of its proposed acquisition of Motorola.
Schmidt, who showed off the new Chrome browser that runs on Ice Cream Sandwich devices, said he expects Android smartphones to continue to get cheaper. Ice Cream Sandwich is the newest version of the Android OS. "We have many partners who are working on phones that will be in the $100 to $150 range," he said. Their goal is to reach $70. While Android phones may sell in the U.S. at about $150 with a two-year contract, they are often several hundred dollars without a contract.
Schmidt also said he hopes that some companies that are using Android but not adopting any Google products will change their minds. Products like Amazon's Kindle Fire use Android, which is available through an open-source license, but don't include the Android Market or other apps that make money for Google. "We hope that people who decided not to use the Android Market will see they'll be more successful if they do so, but it's their choice," he said.
After making prepared remarks that described a future where Internet access becomes a great leveler for even the most disadvantaged and oppressed people, Schmidt sounded only slightly apologetic to one questioner from Iran. The audience member noted that while Gmail is sometimes blocked by the Iranian government, Google itself blocks Android and Chrome from Iran. He asked Schmidt to remove that block.
"The answer is no, I'm sorry," Schmidt said. Due to U.S. policy, Google isn't able to allow those products, he said. "We can't violate U.S. law. I'm with you, but in prison there's no bandwidth," he joked.[/release]

I'm gonna wrap up my homework early and write for a bit, I think. I've had a story idea bouncing around my head for the past few days, and I want to get it on paper to see if it's as fun as it sounds like. I haven't written for a while, so here's hoping that it isn't bad!

You are my favorite artist on here. I continue to try and get the effect that you do with pencil, but I cannot. It does help me practice though, which is certainly good.

I'm really liking your more black-and-white abstract work, you definitely know how to set a mood well. However, I think your rendering things that have depth makes them seem a little flat. Have you done much still-life drawing?

Thanks for your comment. No I haven't done very much still-life drawings, so my shading skill isn't very good.

I saw the zombie panel and was very impressed of how good it was, despite it not being your normal style, but then I figured out that someone else had drawn it.
and then I was sad.
people expect way too much of me. Even tho people might think I could do stuff like that if I "unleashed my potential", I really can't.

Don't be sad just because I don't reach your expectations, I am feeling horribly demotivated when it comes to art lately and probably won't produce anything that isn't commissions in a while.
have fun with the commissions atleast, hope the demotivation passes.

Next time you draw a picture and go to shade it, instead of scribbling back and forth without lifting your pen from the paper, try lifting between each up or downstroke, and making each stroke parallel. Tell me how it goes

More contrast. Much more contrast. Get some highlights going on too.
You gotta remove that dark outline from the edge of the blade, it makes it look soft and round when it should be hair-splittingly sharp!

Yeah, I've been feeling kind of the same, but probably for different reasons. Lately I've been making work "for the thread" or wondering how the people in the thread would take it instead of focusing on improving my art itself. I haven't improved in a while and the main difference between when I was improving well along and when I finally hit rough water was this.
So I've decided to just taking a break from posting any content of my own; I need more time drawing for myself and focusing on studying instead of actively thinking as I'm drawing "I wonder which one of these drawings will be alright to show everybody?". Art really stopped being fun and a journey and instead started being more of a trudge since I started focusing on that. I think I just need a long break to get myself out of the mindset before I start posting stuff again.
It's not anybody else's fault, I just did it to myself.

I would say it's just a gimmick to make more money (something wacom's been doin a lot og lately.) The only difference between the I4 and this is that they've incorporated some features from the bamboo series, like touch something. I'm actually a bit disappointed with this update. was hoping for more pressure levels or something like that, or maybe some new bristle like features, that would be cool.
The design is nice though, and i guess the buttons are better to press. The wireless feature is nice too, although it costs some extra bucks.

The thing wacom really should make is some tablet-pc's, that would be awesome.

Doesn't Intuos4 series have wireless models too?
