Well, his leg armor is a big metal thingy. It's meant to be a leg exoskeleton or something. And in the rest of the armor you can see just common bulletproof vest, elbow protection etc. Feel the difference.
Ah, so sort of like
Yeah, but covered with the metal armor. I think, it might be a good idea since the armor "wears" itself, and the weight doesn't matter anymore
In my spare time i make Backgrounds for my friends, and i thought i'd post two here. They're not as fancy-dancy hand drawn as most of your other guy's stuff it, but i try with them. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/WG2fY.png[/thumb] [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/nXziY.jpg[/thumb]
I always make my own backgrounds, and they're never hand-drawn. Though I would love to do a mix with both, maybe an exaggerated and playful blooming flower or branch or something as you so often see. Little picky details for shitfucks and gigglecunts. I do often strive for reality, though. [t]http://f2.braxupload.se/kihifk.jpg[/t]
Sorry if you're a fat dude and I offend you, but it looks overly wide Also I suspect you may have shifted your hand at some point in the middle of drawing it because the whole thumb section looks to be in skewed perspective as compared to the other half of the palm, and the fingers might be in yet another perspective. Hold your hand up to the screen and see if you can position it in exactly the same way as the drawing, 'cause I'm betting you won't be able to. Then you'll see where exactly you went wrong.
I'm skinny as all hell and it seems right when I hold my hand up, gently close my fingers, and roll the wrist back. It's just a wonky perspective

But that was just me. You usually have to pay for additional models and stuff which is dumb.

By focusing and detailing on small parts it makes the painting take forever and because you focus on small parts they do not function well as a whole and the painting comes off overworked which makes it look flat. To be realistic you do not have to use tiny brushes and extreme blending, it is about controlling the details and painting the light+ shadows. The advantage of painting over photography is that you CAN be simple and get a realistic effect without the overwhelming amount of detail a photographer has to deal with. Look at how large the brush strokes on the dress are, but he gets the PERFECT values for it, so even with the 4 basic values he makes the dress pop off the screen. It functions realistically so we get the illusion of realism since our brain loves to fill things in for us. The only thing that is truly detailed is the face and because it is realistic it both draws the eye and makes the rest of the painting feel more realistic as well. Even then he only zoomed in to maybe 25% of the actual resolution to paint the face. He also developed the entire piece before going into the final details, and since he knew exactly where to place those details he got them done very quickly and they compliment the rest. There can be too much of anything and by simply adjusting your work flow you can create a face just as detailed as the one you are painting in half the time.
Oh wow Chains, that's like what I've been doing during the last four hours. D: A photostudy, and as what you described, I made that same mistake.
Thanks for the helpful words, chains  I'll most deffo look into it.
Boy I sure do hate myself.

So I've started praticing drawing with my awesome writing teacher that draws. Here's a W.I.P
Weird, I tried and couldn't manage it so I took a guess that he moved his hand a little bit during the drawing
I'm sure I did, the drawing looks slightly off to me, mostly the thumb. I couldn't really figure out how exactly I had it to begin with. I do have a small skinny hand. It was just a quick little drawing. I've been trying to do one a day to improve.

this is the tablet im am using right now(also my first) do you think i should have choose a bamboo instead of this
I've never seen that tablet before, can you tell us the sensitivity and DPI for the tablet? I'm sure the reliability won't be on par with a Bamboo tablet from Wacom, but, who knows.
I'm trying out a new style of constructing heads since my normal method has been failing me recently. On a side note: One benefit to using so many layers and then compulsively saving them ( I merge, but sometimes [not when working on serious paintings!] I copy all of the layers and stick them into a group first. :v: ) is that I can make cool (to me, anyway) .gifs! [t]http://i.imgur.com/wFiH1.png[/t] < Thumbnail'd, even though it isn't that big.
I drew this. It totally deserves a thread but I'm a modest guy.
I like the picture but the chalk-fuzzy texture of your brushes are strangely distracting
Yeah, its a new kind of thing for me. It stops me from focusing too much on detail and just getting the image out. Otherwise I get stuck on focusing on one subject and draining all my creative energy on that one thing instead of the whole painting. I usually do these warmups before I begin working on exactly the opposite of these quick paintings, where I use non textured custom brushes.

They dominate the shit out of the market for a reason you know Besides, "Monoprice" doesn't exactly inspire confidence at all

That's actually pretty cool looking. At first glance, I thought the closet doors were elevators.
