When in Photoshop I've always painted with a normal, circular size-and-opacity pen pressure brush. Are there any better options for when doing different things?
I'll repeat this question just ooonce more. [editline]31st March 2012[/editline] Your Javik is nice and clean, but the top of his head isn't symmetrical, that kind of throws me off a bit.
this displeases javik
Whats the biggest size you have as this? I'd love to make a poster out of it

How is the reflection managing...to go behind his foot?
Here's a newbie question - how do I make vector shapes in Photoshop that have an outline? All I know is how to make a solid shape or a line, not combine them.

[t]http://puu.sh/niEd[/t] Nothing too special, but my friend and I made this poster for my youtube channel. It's a parody of this:
im pretty sure theres not but is there any way to make this square of colour bigger?
Inspired by the pokemon Sawsbuck. I love it when plants and animals mix.
chromatic abberation only really works if you're trying to emulate low-quality camera shots just makes it difficult to look at for more than a couple of seconds like misregistered newspaper prints It's a good painting but unless you're trying to make your viewers feel uncomfortable whilst looking at it (horror genre, etc) then you may want to rethink that specific bit
Made this as an exercise to get better at drawing different kind of faces. Didn't spend a lot of time on the clothing and the background. I guess I could have made it a bit brighter as well.
Thanks for the critique Maloof, I'll keep it in mind for next time!

Can you explain.

I don't get it. Where is Nejdii using that in his piece and why would he use it in the first place?
nose [editline]1st April 2012[/editline] noseish region
Did a couple concept thumbnails of environments for Firearms Source after I brought up the fact that we have zero art direction.

So this is a concept for the game? I like where this is going. OFF DA RAILZ
Yea. We're actually doing the concepting process backwards, because all the maps are already being made. However the people making them don't really have any artistic sense, so they're all very plain and uninspired. I'm helping out with effects design, and the lead dev knows I do art stuff so he asked me to do an art pass on what they should look like.
If you want help I would be happy to give it a shot - we're supposed to be deciding on a direction for our artistic practice this semester and I have no idea how to choose between 2D digital painting, animation, film, etc. Some experience working for a client would be great

How about you give this a paintover to make it more wartorn and atmospheric. I'd be interested in seeing what you make out of it.
Awesome. What are my limitations? Do you want the exact same lighting/layout/camera angle/etc, or can I change some things up?
Do whatever you want with it. EDIT Well, keep the map's layout the same, because that's how it's been playtested. You're changing the aesthetic, how it looks and feels.
i like it, its not hard to look at at all
I find the nose just a little tricky to look at, that area just to the right and above the nose [editline]1st April 2012[/editline]
Do whatever you want with it.
