But that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about varying it up.
If a multi track version of the song comes out I'll mix it up, I tried to to make some dramatic changes but there is an annoying faint bass line under those vocals that I had to deal with.
Gah, Rusty. It's not like he's hurting anyone with with the current variation. Stop being such a prick about it. Actually, it really fits the style IMO.
Meh at best. I like to keep my eardrums in top shape thanks.
I make my own music, but when you remix a song the whole point is to take samples from the song and use them to make a whole new song.
not really, you don't need any samples from the track you are remixing
not really, you don't need any samples from the track you are remixing
If your remixing vocals, then yes you do.
Gah, Rusty.Stop being such a prick about it.
Sums up Rusty's posting in HQRSE's threads. I like this song, is this house or?

Waiting for some more music HQRSE!
I make my own music, but when you remix a song the whole point is to take samples from the song and use them to make a whole new song.
aka "lazy artists" honestly im sick of artists that just sample actually good songs to make shitty remixes. this is repetitive and boring and the only people who would listen to this are ravers or w/e they call themselves and they probably have no idea what real music sounds like anyway you could make good original songs yet you insist on sampling songs i dont understand
But yeah, if you don't actually appreciate this type of music then why be a tit about it?

Most samples used in electro are usually just chopped vocals or weird obscure sounds in dirty electro. I think you're thinking of rappers who take songs and sing over them, that's easy and doesn't take much talent. Taking small samples and chopping/mixing them up is harder than you think and can produce an entirely new song.
But yeah, if you don't actually appreciate this type of music then why be a tit about it?
Just because he said "only post nice thoughts" doesn't mean people won't c&c it. All hqrse does is throw off the blame, and saying in the OP that people should only post nice thoughts just backs that up.
let me give you a lesson here this is electronica this is dance
Most dance is electronica, silly. Electronic music is a very wide field.
Most dance is electronica, silly. Electronic music is a very wide field.
ahahahahahahahahahahaha no electronica is a EDM genre to some extent
ahahahahahahahahahahaha no electronica is a EDM genre to some extent
At least i don't use Behringer equipment.
If a multi track version of the song comes out I'll mix it up, I tried to to make some dramatic changes but there is an annoying faint bass line under those vocals that I had to deal with.
Were you trying to isolate the vocal from the sample? I'd have to agree with the comments about variety. Your main changes in the arrangement are a few sample chops and low pass filters. I think I heard you introduce a synth in there around 2:30 but then after that 'break' it goes back to the hook which is just the sample again. You could have kept the synth in there with a nice riff to it to raise the energy a bit, after the kick in it would be more audible of course but nonetheless. With a good synth goin' on you could have taken the sample out completely, or cut the freqs that contained the vocal so the bassline was still audible but now the synth has taken the lead instead of the sample itself. There is definitely a lot of room for improvement on this one, but I digress. I've seen a lot of threads from you. You seem to rush things out. You should definitely spend more time on a single song. If you're stuck on ideas stop working on it and come back to it later, even if later is weeks. You'll hear it again after not having heard it over and over again and ideas and changes to improve it will just flow right out of you. This idea/tune has potential to be so much better. Good luck on your next one.
let me give you a lesson here this is electronica this is dance
Wait when did I ever talk about electronica? I'm talking about electro you MORAN. That's electro. So don't give me lessons if you don't even know what electro is.
wiat electro is different from electronica fuck music
Ya electro is like dirtier funkier dance music. Dirty-electro is even dirtier electro, and electro-house is like electro and house together. Another example of electro. Electro, dirty-electro, and electro-house are pretty much the only genres of music I listen to, cause it's usually strange and different, and I like that.
At least i don't use Behringer equipment.
Call me a novice but what's wrong with Behringer?
Call me a novice but what's wrong with Behringer?
It's like china stuff, but it's designed in Germany (still built in China tho). They would in fact make very good stuff if they didn't use the cheapest of the cheapest components. A friend of mine has a Behringer mixer. It just feels cheap, the faders started crackling after 2 months and all the potis look like they're out of neutral position when they are actually.
This is probably the only song that a facepuncher has made that i actually came back to the thread to listen to the song one more time. Good job. Kind of repetitive but it's catchy.
don't you have a newgrounds page HQRSE? Either that or I came across somebody else using the handle HQRSE.
don't you have a newgrounds page HQRSE? Either that or I came across somebody else using the handle HQRSE.
He does, why don't you just search Newgrounds?
