I'm against fossil fuels and pretty much anything that causes global warming, but for other reasons (mostly air pollution). I'm not >entirely< convinced that we are accelerating global warming.
Very inspiring episode, but at the same time fills me with dread that we might reach the point of no return before we overhaul our energy production globally. Mass-adoption of electric cars, solar panels and nuclear fusion research can't come soon enough.
I'm such a sucker for those inspiring Carl Sagan quoting bits.
Too bad this is the series finale and we won't be seeing anymore Cosmos any time soon. It ended on such a high note.
I'm so glad this generation of children will have an inspiring person like Neil deGrasse Tyson to continue Carl Sagan's vision.
The whole "pls end all violence" in the end was kinda annoying and uncalled-for, though.

Uhhh... What? Carl Sagan's ultimate vision was a human race living in harmony, doing science, and lighting up.
Wonderful last episode.
I was surprised to hear the Pale Blue Dot sounding so good, they must've remastered it.

I honestly thought they had a sound-alike go and re-record the line until reading this post.
I wonder who'd be able to take up the mantle if this series ever continues again in the future.

It's been fairly entertaining so far but does the series ever talk about the multiverse, more dimensions or any of that stuff? Things like the possibilities of super advanced civilizations, interdimensional beings etc. It's about a lot of confirmed theories. The stuff that's being showed is interesting no doubt, but I can't help but feel that it's really small.
Edit: and now it's about lead. Sigh. I'm gonna guess that the scientist in question eventually found evidence that lead is bad.

power exclusively by canadian reactors and transportation by electric cars would be a dream come true
Episode 11 and 13.
Episode 11 could've gone there but it didnt't really come close. The episode could've gone there but it stopped when earth was about to get to an "advanced" state(to a civilazition that could've solved universal problems). "Man" wasn't close to going to another universe
or touching another dimension.
Episode 13 didn't even come close at all. We traveled through our soular system and asked some basic questions. That's all.
What I got from these episodes was just some basic some questions. The question that wasn't as basic was 'are we in a prison?'.
We need science to make multiuniversal and multidimensional questions relevant and big. What we're doing now is exploring pieces of sand in a universe full of sand.
I'm drunk and 'smart' right now though but. What do I want? I want less sand exploring in science.

Oh okay, should I trust you though? I know Hawking supports the multiverse theory and all.
Where do I get this legally?
