ASMR aka. Those Tingles You Get When You Watch Certain Videos

I get this when I'm scared, not relaxed.
For me it's definitely this one.

Every time.
Frisson and ASMR are two different things.
That's called frisson, it's a different thing.
I used to get the cold chill down my spine for no apparent reason at all for several months after a minor ear surgery that i was put under general anesthesia for two hours. Kinda freaked me out, it's stopped though.
I get a funny feeling in my chest from many of those videos, but nothing as described. I have no idea if it's actually ever happened to me, I'm bad at remembering such things.
How could I forget transfiguration

This could explain the unboxing vids on youtube :v:
Yeah, like I said in the OP, I'm pretty certain the thing you get from beautiful music is different. I've experienced both, and although they're similar, it is a different feeling.
I think when you get it from music, it's called frission.
I've had both, they are different. If the videos in the OP didn't trigger some semblance of it, then it's likely you do not have ASMR.
That would explain why i love videos like these so much

Am I the only one who gets really pissed off by this? Being able to hear every little crinkle or slide is annoying as hell.
Same reason I hate radio commercials; Every little sound has to be 10x louder than usual.
Ehh, it's going to sound stupid, but I usually get it from the national anthem being sung at big matches. Don't really know why, I'm not the most patriotic.

I'm like that with haircuts and stero channeled music on headphones. Whenever i get a sound in my right ear that also isn't in my left ear i get this very VERY uncomfortable feeling in my lower back, near the kidneys. It's annoying because when getting a haircut and i get cut around the right ear, i start to slouch into my lower back towards the right because the sensation. When it happens with music i need to stop listening to any music for a bit before i can comfortably listen to a non stereo song.
Clicked on a youtube video when this advert came up:

This was interesting.

First video that really did it for me
Guy made a fortune because of this video. People started coming from AROUND THE WORLD to experience his head massage. His name is Baba. He says he uses cosmic energy in his head massages, so thats what all the blowing and grabbing of air is. Check out the other videos of him, i believe there are 3 or 4 others.
Unfortunately for me ASMR has become somewhat of an addiciton. I can't get to sleep until i've had my fix of tingles.
Also contributing some of the videos that do it for me.

These videos are weird on par with those sfw fetish videos youtube has.

Not really. ASMR isn't sexual in any way. I've seen the occasional video that's borderline, but they're the exception rather than the rule.
I'm not sure whether I'm affected or not but I keep wanting to be.
Reading the thread i kept thinking; you guys are pretty strange. But now i realize that i know what this feels like too. I get it when i listen to certain songs connected to my youth.
Pretty cool!

I always thought it was just a reaction to a cold breeze or something.
Does this do it?

Yes
Actually, even though I didn't have a PS1 before, (boohoo i didn't have a childhood) I can kind of predict what you guys would feel when watching it. I guess that's the tingling sensation you're talking about. But I don't feel that in those ASMR videos, instead I just feel like I'm in a trance and I forget about everything
This thread is really creepy.
So that's what it's called, I thought I was the only person on Earth that experienced this. For me it's not tingley, but a natural relaxing high that like having an orgasm in your brain. I wouldn't be surprised if it's an evolutionary response to learning a new task.
I wouldn't say I have the same exact reactions, but I do feel a sense of being in a trance as D3TBS mentioned, and it feels nice. I usually get it from whispering voices or strong accents, or gentle sounds akin to the turning of book pages.

This knocks me out pretty much. Forty minutes of relaxing goodness.
Every time I see cooking videos I feel that.. It's that feel when they are rubbing oils on the meat or whatever, when they treat it or rub it or other stuff like that. Feels good.
Vacuum cleaners have always done it for me, and now I know there are 12 hour long video's about it.
