well technically its my brothers car. I like my 2002 WAY better, and hope to either cleam it up nicely (Startin to show signs of age concidering its an 8 year old Winter Salt Daily driver) and Supercharge it Or buy a 2005 version that's supercharged from the factory.
What the fuck is up with people buying all these hatchbacks.
They're cheap and nasty, pointless and turn into scrap in a collision.
I don't have a hatchback.
K lets see. My brother bought the car in APRIL 15th 2008. It got hit June 10th 2008. did 16,000$ Damage. sat in the body shop of the dealer we bought it from for 3 months being fixed (GREAT dealership. Piss poor bodyshop...) HE gets it back Late Sept 2008, And on his way to pick me up bout 3 weeks later he got T-boned. 5000 Damage. Drove it like that till January of this year then FINALY got it fixed. Managed to make it 5 months, then got rear ended at a red light. totalled the Cavalier, 4000$ damage to ours. Got it fixed At the same body shop that fixed it after accident #2.
this body shop we use (DonVito Interntional Auto body) is amazing. Our insurnace says that big dent I posted picture of is Previous Damage and theres no way the accident caused it. Its Stress pressure dent. The insurance adjuster touched it and it got bigger. THe body shop fixed it free of charge! THEN We took it back to them 2 weeks after they fixed it the last time (this is about a month go now) cuz of a rattle. They inspect the car and find The FIRST bodyshop didnt fix the Interal bumper setup after the first accident properly. 600$ worth of work, They did it for free cuz were such good repeat customers.
I also have to stand up for chevy on this one; The cars been to hell and back and yet still drives amazingly well (no odd body roll due to frame damage etc).!
Did the side airbags go off? Those are fucking scary when they do.

Well it sounds cheaper if you just fix up the one you've got but hey, if the mileage is already too high then might as well replace it with the 05.
none of the air bags have ever deployed. Had he not seen her run the stop sign he WOULD have T-boned HER at 85kph. Luckily he was able to see her for a second between the parked cars, and swerved even before she peeked. unfort she still hit. but had he hit her, they'd gone off for sure (front ones though) and she'd probably have been killed.

When we totaled our Honda, the front airbags didn't deploy. I'm not sure if we could sue them for that, I mean... We were going around 58 mph.

Media'd for size. That one in particular ain't mine but it's that brand&make, diff wheels, same color, and not in Germany.
It's got an auto gearbox so I'm gonna enjoy it once I hit 18 D:
Oh and it's a Ford Fusion (europe one, the american one isn't hatchback or whatever)

None of his accidents have been severe enough for the airbags to go off. and the first accident, it was parked on the street, was hit at 2 am. tried to stop them, but they left the scene in another car. the Azn woman driving was so drunk we could smell it 8 feet away.
A before and after shot of when I first washed the car since I had it:

Why do 95% of American cars look so cheap and nasty? It looks like they've been built with one purpose in mind... To be a cheap car that'll only last 5 minutes before it breaks down, no passion goes into these cars and their engines are disgustingly inefficient. One of our 3 litre eurocars would have an American 5 litre V8 any day of the year ;)

Yep, American cars do suck a fat one. heh. Personally I like Japanese or German made cars.

Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 - Nothing special really, reasonably cheap to run, cheap to insure and has still only done 25,000 miles which is nothing for a 9 year old car.

Due to the engine being so tight and me keeping it in tip-top condition with a few mods such as an air-induction kit, full exhaust system and improved fly-by-wire response times, it's quicker than most 1.6 litres to 115mph but then they'll overtake since that's all my car has to give.
Vauxhall? Where are those made?
Don't recognize the plates either, not from Europe?

They're British, as is my car. You may know then as Opel? Part of the General Motors company.

Have you told your insurance about these mods? not saying I would, but you're fucked if you haven't and they find out.
Yeah Opel I know them, nice cars.
Have you told your insurance about these mods? not saying I would, but you're fucked if you haven't and they find out.
No there was a load of hassel about that!
I was previously with Churchill, when it came to renewal they phoned me up and was about to proceed with it, I thought I'd best be honest and tell them about the mods... We spend a good half an hour describing and logging each of them, I was only hold for a further 5 minutes before he came back and said he was unable to insure me since you have to be 25 in order to have them on the car under their policy so I told them to fuck right off for wasting my time. I tried a few other sites but they all came back similar, then I went to Direct Line... Filled out all the forms and unlike every other site I went to, this had no form allowing you to declare any mods so I thought I was OK. Bought that policy thinking there were no questions about any mods on my car but when my certificate of insurance came through it said on a section "Modifications to car: NONE". I didn't even get the chance to declare any so I thought fuck it, I can't be bothered. I've got all the original parts up the loft so if worse comes to the worst, I'll stick them back on after a crash.
Depending on where you live of course, you don't HAVE to tell your insurance company about mods.
Just good luck getting money back for it if you get in a wreck, and good luck having them continue to cover you if you caused it due to those mods.

I replaced the radio to one with a CD player and I'm going to put in a 3.5mm audio input when I make up the circuitry and get/make some keys to get the radio out (getting the old radio out without a key was fun :buddy:)
Clutch and power steering needs some work, engine needs a tune up, needs new wheels...
I still like it though.
I just remembered I need to fix the aerial as well. It got bent right at the base thanks to a big bush while driving down a track when a mate and I went camping.
And I need to clean the bird shit off it. Stupid seagulls that hang around the place I receive my tertiary education (TAFE) :monocle:

It's not a stupidly loud one, I didn't want one of those. Up until 2,500 revs it's just a gentle purr but as soon as you put your foot down and it hits 3,000 revs then it has a really nice, deep, loud sound to it.

You could just do what a lot of people do if they find out and say that you bought the car like that and presumed all corsas were standard like that. Might not sound as believable coming from an 18 year old though...
