The neutering thing was mostly a joke, and please don't bring up my vegan-ness outside the vegetarian thread. You can call me stupid their as much as you'd like.
Feed it water, not milk.
Don't feed it salmon and such, it will only come back for more.
when my cat was a kitten we fed it ordinary milk in the morning and night, and left water during the day. We also had special kitten food.
We got him a litter tray nad made a cat door in our door.
You've got to make the cat familiar with where its going to have a pooh
or else it will ned up on the floor or in unusual places such as a bath
tub. Have a designated area where your cat can go, i.e no leather couches aroun, no expensive wooden furniture or beds. Get your cat a scratching post
or prepare to either sand down his scratches or get new furniture.
Make sure your cat has access to his litter box and or cat door.
when no one is going to be home make sure to close all the doors into bedrooms
etc.

thats exactly why you would feed it that, because cats are no way near as loyale as dogs, so OP be prepared for your cat to dissapppear for a day or
two. feed your cat the food it likes.
If you want to give it milk, give it cat milk not human milk.
I hope you mean cow milk.

I just laughed.
Really, REALLY hard.:quagmire:
Teach it do this.

Feed it Meow Mix :D
Protip: if it's a male, neuter it ASAP before it keeps you up all night meowing. i own another cat, who's male and an absolute spastic. also, try to get a cat with a black nose, say what you want, but i've noticed they are generally smarter (my spastic cat, has a black nose, has never shat outside the litter bowl, while my fatass cat does not even know it's own name.)
I'm just going to contest this by saying my tan-nose-coloured cat had never shit outside the litter box and even knew the procedure the first day around. My stupid, retarded, completely fucking annoying, black nosed cat decides "OH SHIT MAN MY STOMACH, TIME TO TAKE A DIARRHEA DUMP ON THE BASEMENT FLOOR AND DRAG MY ASS EVERYWHERE JUST BECAUSE. SHIT MAN, IS THAT THE GUYS OLD LUNCH BOX? LETS SHIT IN THERE!" and that sort of behaviour.
How do you know what your cat is thinking about?
[editline]04:41AM[/editline]
If you care about your goddamn 5 minutes more than your cat.
Don't have a cat.
Next you'll suggest the cat shouldn't be fed either because cat food is expensive or what?
No, it takes more like an hour each day to come home from work, do your cats nails, drive back to work, and lose pay. Eventually your going to lose your job, why? Because you didn't decalaw your cat.
Oh god it's so shocking, showing you the truth. Don't claim you know what you're talking about, then. It is definitely more than their nail being cut off.
Okay, just get out of this thread. You aren't helping anyone. You are being a hypocritical retard right now. Declawing is just as bad as neutering/spaying, but yet for some reason, chopping their balls off means nothing to cutting their nails. Quit trolling already. Its kind of obvious that you are trolling now. Also, posting shock images, way to prove a point, according to your logic, if I post a picture of balls getting cut off then its not a shock image correct, because its not bad. :fuckoff:
I think select people should be neutered as well :). I'm planning on never having kids, btw. If I ever did it would be 2 MAX.
Same here.
Both my cats are nutered/spayed too and they seem perfectly fine. They both however have their claws intect for climbing outside, self defense, etc.
I don't know anyone who declawed their cats...perhaps it's not so common here in the UK?
Talk to them nicely
If he bites you via play show him the bite, he most likely won't bite you again.
Scratch them, not like a dog but soft.

What? Do you work 24/7? Then why the heck would you have a cat?
Most cats pretty much do their own thing. Leave food and water out so it can eat when it wants. Depending on how playful it is, you can give it some toys. Most cats like having a place to sleep, so the cat house is a good idea. Cats can be a really awesome pet if they're nice. My cat loves to play with me and is a lot of fun. :3:

Defending my view doesn't make me a troll, I feel certain that declawing is a cruel thing to do to a cat, and it doesn't make me a hypocrite. There's reasons that neutering a pet isn't illegal anywhere in the world and declawing is. Just because you're lazy and that makes you think that it's necessary doesn't make it any less cruel and painful. Those were hardly shock images, too. If you were shocked by it, it's because you have no idea how the procedure works, which means you shouldn't be defending declaw-ers.
[editline]10:34AM[/editline]
And why do you have to leave work to come home to trim your pets nails? You couldn't just do it when you're at home? That's a pretty stupid way to think. You hardly have to do it every day, too. If you're at work long enough to have to drive home to take care of your pets, you probably shouldn't have any.
Can't cats be chemically neutered now? I mean, it is undoubtedly better then physically neutering them.
But yeah, love it and cherish it. :3:
Well, you first want to teach it not to claw up your furniture, so get a scratching post and put a tiny bit of catnip on it. It seems with most of the cats I know LOVE to play with strings, so theres no need to buy expensive cat toys. And good advice for litter box would be to get one of the ones with the top on it and a little door to keep the smell away, and get cat litter that absorbs the smell, but doesn't smell itself. Try to see how independent they are and how much attention they want.
Potty train it. Turn it into a Mr. Jinx
They are bitches
You mean milk intended for humans, as in cow milk right? Because no way in hell I'll drink milk from actual women.
You probably did have milk from your mother when you were a baby. I like how the thread has about 3 conversations going on at once
Do not get 2 female cats! They fight constantly. I am living this mistake now and during this sentence, they hissed in the distance.
Do not get 2 female cats! They fight constantly. I am living this mistake now and during this sentence, they hissed in the distance.
Are either of them new? Or did you get them at the same time? Any new cat is going to be unwelcomed at first. It will likely go away within a month.
Your cat is eating lizards and mice because it isn't being fed properly. It's sleeping lots because it's unwell due to eating lizards and mice.
Cats are predators, hunting is instinctual for them and they don't necessarily do it because they're hungry.
Never let your cat outside. I let her/him out and he/she never returned. :(
But now I frekin got 2 new cats. :)
My cat is a bit of a tomboy or posh noble most of the time, but she doesnt crap in my house, and shes from a carehome. Needless to say, you will have lots of fun with your newly found pet.
When you are teaching it to use the litter tray, scrape it's foot in the stuff so that it learns to bury the poo/wee... I know, i have 5 cats myself1 :) xx
