I hope they do this right, I want grit, I want blood, I want guts, I want the heads of those who challenge the Emperor! Seriously though there better be some intense battles and shit.
If they just succeed that it will already be worth watching. I just want some space marines thump some skullz in with their bootheels. I want heavy bolter fire ripping orkz apart, and I want fucking plasma weaponry and orbital bombardments.
Need movie about Tau or Necrons Ultramarines and Taus are the most badass looking [editline]03:00PM[/editline] Wander if there are some of those books in portuguese
forgetting sarah marshall is 10 mins under two hours you are wrong [editline]03:17PM[/editline] so basically imperial guard=Russia in WW2
I didn't mean literally, I've just never thought that any 1hour 30min movie has been that good, it's like they've shortened stuff down to make it fit, and for gods sake, a 70 min movie? THAT IS ONE HOUR AND TEN MINUTES! Shortest real movie I'll ever see I guess.
Actually, not even the Ultras have 1000 or less battle brothers, i forget who worked it out or where, but it was estimated to be around 1300. Afterall, 1000 men equals 10 fighting 10 man squads in each of 10 companies, but on top of that you'd got to factor in techmarines, librarians, chaplains, vehicles specialists, Fleet admirals and captains, etc etc. 1000 marines is just a nice, smooth guideline number (mostly for ease of the reader etc) afterall, no sane chapter is going to turn away candidates that have passed the recruiting just because they're at the reccomended capacity. Black Templars iirc have around 3000 battle brothers, Space Wolves have even more, with anything from 120 up to 1000 marines per company, as they refused to follow the codex.
Crimson Fists only have around 500 Marines, but that's because their homeworld was attacked by Orks, so I guess they don't really count.
Crimson Fists only have around 500 Marines, but that's because their homeworld was attacked by Orks, so I guess they don't really count.
This continues the discussion to prove the point that you can't actually put an appropriate number on how many Space Marines there are in the universe. I don't think it's really worth going through over and over again; how about we all just agree that the number is fuckloads?
I have a Chapter created, I named them Fucktons All they do is use giant penis rifles that shoot electrified semen at everything they see [editline]07:07PM[/editline] Also By looking at the company, I imagine the movie like this: "WAAAAGH!" "The orks, ARE COMING!" *Shit blows up, with no casualties or blood whatsoever* "WE NEED TO RETREAAAAATTTTT" "SQUAD BROKEN" *Key black guy shows up* "WE NEED TO RETREAT FELLAS" "HECK I WILL FIGHT THEM AAAARRRGGGHHHH" *Ultramarines wuss out and orks somehow loose* "WE WON HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!" "SQUAD STILL BROKEN!" -Movie ends-
Yeah, just read Gaunt's Ghosts. [editline]06:07PM[/editline] I know they are super soldiers (I am not thick) but people seem to think that they are just awesome supercool badasses that fight for the good, whereas actually they are mindwashed slaves to the imperium, that are also mega powerful at fighting.
Well, you can either have brainwashed crazy badass, or a willingly crazy badass.
The Imperial Guard can be pretty heroic and brave

or a willingly crazy badass.
Genetically enginnered to be crazy bad asses.
Genetically engineered by a pussy version of the orks to fight their battles for them.
I'd laugh so hard if the Ultramarines accidentally encounter Tau at extreme short range.
I'm still waiting for Relic to acknowledge Space Marine since e3, which was three entire months ago. At least release the full trailer in HD?
Genetically enginnered to be crazy bad asses.
Yeah, but they like it.
Yeah, but they like it.
Because they are genetically engineered to like it.
Genetically engineered by a pussy version of the orks to fight their battles for them.
Why did you rate me dumb, the Old Ones were not able to fight off the Enslavers, so they made the orks.
Why did you rate me dumb, the Old Ones were not able to fight off the Enslavers, so they made the orks.
Only because they had entities that ate SUNS on their side.
Because they are genetically engineered to like it.
I fail to see your point. [editline]10:49PM[/editline]
Only because they had entities that ate SUNS on their side.
Well then how would Orks help?
Because the Orks were controlled by the Old Ones, making them the perfect weapon.
Now that I think about it, how effective ARE Orks against Necrons.
Very.
Now that I think about it, how effective ARE Orks against Necrons.
Well Necrons don't eat fucking planets now do they. Necrons are a bunch of tin cans, they get stomped easy. [editline]11:02PM[/editline]
Because the Orks were controlled by the Old Ones, making them the perfect weapon.
My point is that ground troops don't really matter when your opponent can swallow fucking stars.
Now that I think about it, how effective ARE Orks against Necrons.
Lets see. Necrons: Get up after having 20 bolter rounds put through it Ork: Goes is "dat all you got" after 30 bolter rounds.
Then after 50 bolter rounds, he takes out all of them and makes an electric guitar out of them.
I always thought of the Necrons as Overpowered, but apparently they have a significant weakness. Or at least their Gauss Cannons are lame as hell.
It's a sci fi thriller, any film that has space marines should be sci fi gratuitous action.
If it's gonna be like Space Hulk then it might be good as a thriller. But my money says that their gonna pull a Doom and make the Rock star in it.
The Imperial Guard can be pretty heroic and brave
Yeah, i used to use them when I played 40k.
I always thought of the Necrons as Overpowered, but apparently they have a significant weakness. Or at least their Gauss Cannons are lame as hell.
Necrons are insanely powerful, they keep coming back. Then when you defeat the army it just teleports back to another tomb world and rebuilds itself. Orks were created to fight Necrons, that is why they are a fungus that grows fast and thus the Imperium burns Ork bodies after battles. [editline]02:27AM[/editline]
Yeah, i used to use them when I played 40k.
I have Death Korps of Krieg, just finished building my Commissar on horse.
Only because they had entities that ate SUNS on their side.
The Enslavers were on nobody's side, they came from the warp, and started killing off all sentient life. The C'tan hate all things that have to do with the warp, so they'd never side with them anyway.
Who can't love a Chapter that has this as their theme?
Why Ultramarines? Really?
