Wow wtf its one hour long.
It's 70 minutes long. That's one hour and ten minutes.
10 minutes of credits.
Tyranid = possible warp spawns?
10 minutes of credits.
Aha! Never considered that. Though hopefully they're not going to be dicks about it, and actually will give us those extra ten minutes of action.
Yeah, all Cadian Guardsmen tend to remain on Cadia for their entire term of service (i.e. their mortal lives). Even the Kasrkin tend to be referred to as "elite guard" rather than elite Guardsmen, if you get my meaning.
That's one of the reasons why I didn't like DoW Winter Assault. What the hell was an entire Cadian regiment doing on some random ass planet?

Titan.
You know what I want to see?
The Battle of Maccarage.
With a HUGE budget.

battle for maccrage = starship troopers and 300's love child.

Huh, that does fit pretty well...
Kasrkin. Unless you're trolling, in which case you've saddened me.
The Kasrkin are simply Shock Troopers, which would in itself mean that they're the best of the best in any given regiment. The difference, though, between a Kasrkin trooper and any other Shock Trooper is that the Kasrkin are Cadian Shock Troopers - they are literally the best of the best of the best; there is no better soldier in the Imperium who is not Astartes-born.
Space Marine Chapters typically recruit from a certain world or worlds, as a matter of principle and of tradition. Not only does no Chapter recruit from Cadia - not to say that there aren't Cadian-born Space Marines somewhere in the galaxy - but Cadia, as the home planet of the Guard's finest, really does need all of the manpower it can get, without the decades it takes to become a fully fledged Space Marine - it acts as the "gate world" to the Eye of Terror, the effective home of Chaos in the galaxy - it sees combat on a regular basis more than any other world in the Imperium. On top of that, Space Marine candidates are taken very young. There's no "promotion" to Astartes from amongst the Imperial Guard - the human biology would reject the implants and geneseed transplants necessary to create a Space Marine by the time that a soldier has been trained (and has earned enough experience) so that he can call himself a Kasrkin, or even a veteran.
Stupid Abbadon and his attempts to conquer Cadia.
The battle of Macragge = troopers shooting big insects
Like this is an original idea and there is no movie about that... :downs:

Starship Troopers is more like what would happen if it was the Imperial Guard at the battle of Macragge, not if it was Space Marines.
Now, Starship Troopers (the book) would be more like if there was a chapter of flying dreadnoughts with big guns at Macragge
Ugh I hate the Ultramarines...

That sounds like a boss in MGS3.
Isnt that monstruously obvious, mister RayvenQ?...

I'd say there are some Inquisitorial Retinues that have a few soldiers with more skill than the Kasrkins.

Considering they scared the shit out of Harlon Nayle, one of Eisenhorn/Ravenor's most badass retinue member, it's unlikely that many are tougher than Kasrkins.
Except maybe Necromundans or Catachans attached to inquisitors.
awesome awesome awesome awesome

He wasn't really badass. He cared too much.
He was more like a hardass.
I've always been wondering if a movie would be considered for the Warhammer 40K universe. It's far too underrated amongst our culture, seemingly being a source for petty memes. Despite my insignificant knowledge of it, only having played the DOW games and the older Chaos Gate game, I sincerely hope that this production will give the WH 40K universe the recognition it oh-so-fucking rightfully deserves.

I only hope they can successfully recreate the majesty, awe, and passion present within the artwork.
The artwork sure is way superior than any other series I have ever know... even Warcraft doesn't give that dark, epic feeling I always expected a rpg art to be
If done right, I bet the 70 minutes will be more than enough to be godlike win
The first 10-20 minutes of a WH40k movie would have to be an explanation of the Horus Heresy just so people understand why everyone is fighting each other.

Was that in the Eisenhorn series or Ravenor? I think I might remember something like that, but I've only read Eisenhorn.

"In the Grim Darkness of the Far Future, There is Only War." -It sums it up pretty well. :c00l:
how the hell do I get to the 40k custom forum? Only thing in the CF section is for faggots, furries, and druggies.
