Where are my Salamanders! The coolest Space Marine Chapter is the one that gets the least love.

(Not my model, I can't paint that well.)
But I'm not someone who hates the Ultramarines just because they are the standard so my main worry about the movie is it's being made by the people who did the bionicle movies.
I've actually had to watch a few and while the character animations are pretty good, they don't put much work into the backgrounds.
They're not the coolest.
My favourite is Dark Angels (Out of Space Marines, at least. Tau are still my favourite overall.)
You missed my post.

Well I'm sorry but the Tau were made to sell 40k to weaboos.
They die easily too.
I agree with number 1, they need to do an original chapter of marines.
Like the space wolves.
Putting in an original chapter would mean making an entirely new chapter specifically for the movie. Like how they made the Blood Ravens for DoW. And the Space Furries don't need any more time in the spotlight, considering they just got a new codex and some new[sp]terrible looking[/sp]models.
There's nothing wrong with Rowboat Gilligan's Ultrasmurfs. Everybody always wants the same 4 chapters, Space Wolves, Blood Angels, Black Templars, and Dark Angels. They're all just as overdone as Ultramarines.
I just hope for some plot advancement one day, though it seems unlikely the Emperor is ever going to die. Jerk.

They are! They are steady and dependable, their Primarch is a blacksmith so they make sure their stuff is the best (especially things involving hammers and burning) , their world has heavy gravity so they are tougher than other marines (but their bikers and jump troops suck) , their world has some crazy radiation that makes their skin all black (not African black, obsidian black. That model is not wearing a helmet.) and have glowing eyes, And they raise families.

A sad fact I choose to live with :crying:

bloods up in this bitch
There have been whispers about a WH40K movie for years. I want it to be good, but I estimate a high chance of this being horrible.
What about the Blood Angels?
Or the Space Wolves?
70 minutes is not very long for a film....
Why the flying fuck is it Ultramarines :argh:

They used to be all black as in African black, but Games-Workshop caught up on the fact they were the only black people in the Imperium/the reason for their black skin was a gene-seed genetic 'mistake'.
also, give the codex guys a break
i mean they released that bionicle movie way back.
im sure they've changed

bloods up in this bitch
We don't need a chapter that will rage and cry every 10 minuets when they re enact their primarchs death, they don't even have their own proper codex.
I'd love to learn more about the 40k universe, but I really have no idea where to find some info.
Off trying to find their thunderhawk, they could have sworn they parked it right here!
I don't get it...
I can definitely see why people are already pessimistic about this movie, and my pessimism is most likely hiding under my love for Ultramarines :))
Yah i know how over-rated they are, but i like their colors. (I play/used to play Ultramarines in tabletop before store near me closed down)

read up
Ultra Marines? ULTRA MARINES? Are you kidding me!? :C
Ultra Marines? :saddowns:
I doubt it'll be any good.

It used to be that their color was due to their radioactive planet but it seems the new codex changes it to the gene-seed mutation.
I kind of like the obsidian black look, though it seems I'm one of the few.
The movie should be about Death Guard at the Horus Hersey, they had a pretty interesting history.
The movie should be about Death Guard at the Horus Hersey, they had a pretty interesting history.
Then it would be Warhammer 30k.
[editline]04:49AM[/editline]
Because Death Guard during the Horus Heresy was in the 30k period, not 40k.
Until a trailer comes out. I'm not going to get my hopes up for this film:
It's not.
I'm not all that excited for it really, which is odd for me, partly for a few reaons.
1. Ultramarines, nuff said.
2. It's being made by a company who previously made bionicle, i doubt they can best capture the grimdark and ultraviolent nature of Space Marines.
3. It's a sci fi thriller, any film that has space marines should be sci fi gratuitous action.
This is why.
And the chaps behind the Bionicle movies were well not that great.
Sounds nerdy as fuck
but I guess the tabletop gaming is too
I'll watch it on dvd if it comes out

Oh it's gloriously nerdy.
And it's a direct to DVD movie. It's not coming out in theaters.
The moment fans have been waiting for is finally here... for the first time, the Warhammer 40,000 universe will be realised in a feature-length movie on DVD.
