Definitely going to watch it when it comes out. When does it come out anyway? Also inb4 Bad Reading.
I have heard of Warhammer 40k and never seen anything of it but it looks badass I want a movie.

It must be made! For the Greater Good! :sigh: Why are Space Marines so popular...?
Hey, There already is a Fire Warrior video game. [editline]06:02AM[/editline]
Fucking SPES MAHREENS, fuck off, they need to get off their collective high-horse and live a day in the life of an Imperial Guard trooper.
Day 1, into battle Day 2, dead. [editline]06:05AM[/editline]
I agree with number 1, they need to do an original chapter of marines. Like the space wolves.
Blood Ravens! :argh: [editline]06:06AM[/editline]
I found the leaked script
I stopped reading after i read "Eduardo"
I hope they atleast show some IG stuff, Baneblades are fucking awesome.
Fire Warrior is shitty and doesn't do the Tau justice.
Yeah, if ti were an accurate portrayal of the Tau it would've gone more like "Eek! Space Marines! Get awaaaaay! Hand to hand is grody!" "DIE XENO SCUM." "Argh, my spleen!" Then the Orks would have bombarded the area with Roks and have a rock concert.
This sounds awesome, but I wish they would do a movie on the horus heresy! THAT would be fucking epic
Personally I think it's a good thing that they are using the Ultramarines, sure they are pretty standard without anything special, but that's the point of them. Without Ultramarines we wouldn't know what the standard marine looks like. That said I have my doubts this movie will be good, it's hard to capture the spirit of 40k, not to emntion it has to be extremely violent.

[editline]09:39AM[/editline] But some kids will probably watch it too, so probably MA+ I remember on the back of a 40k book (Flight of the Einstein), it had an ad for Games Workshop, and they had two 12 year olds battling it out in on their kitchen table.
Hell, even the first DOW intro was damned quality.
My only expectation is that they make it like the DoW 1 intro, just a bit more lengthy. If they succeed, it's already destined to be great. [editline]01:07PM[/editline]
I hope they atleast show some IG stuff, Baneblades are fucking awesome.
Humongus tanks are a plus.
I don't get it...
It;s a jioke on how forgetful Blood Ravens are. and sorry to correct a few people but it's not Ultra Marines it's Ultramarines. Also, how to piss Rogal Dorn/Vladimir Pugh off: Ring ring ring ring bannanaphone.
It;s a jioke on how forgetful Blood Ravens are.
I thought their history was deliberately "forgotten" :raise: I remember in DoW2, [sp]Thule finds a recording or something that shows that their history was hidden to hide a horrible secret[/sp]
Hope there will be monoliths in it :v:
They should do a Last Chancers or Eisenhorn movie instead.
Hope there will be monoliths in it :v:
fucking epic [editline]12:14PM[/editline] "sweet merciful fuck! Squad fucking broken!"
This is the third time I've seen a 40k film try to get off the ground. Firstly, there was Exterminatus, which Games Workshop themselves shut down due to German intellectual property law. Then there was talk of a proper 'official' film, but that never went forwards because the film directors wanted to use 'female' space marines as well as the traditional male ones.
There are Female Space Marines? Do you mean Witch Hunters/Sisters of Battle?
No, that's why it was stopped.
Hope there will be monoliths in it :v:
Holy shit that was the funniest thing I have seen in a while.
Way to show "standard" marines by showing Marneus Calgar.
That guy is over powered.
I don't see why women can't be spacemarines though, they could probably use the same armor too, looks roomy, and no army grunt has over a C in breast size, even that's pushing it.

Gene Seed was developed specifically for male physiology. Besides, when choosing Space Marines, you want the strongest and toughest candidates, I'm not saying females can't be that, but males are genetically geared towards it. Closest thing to a Female Space Marine is a Sister of Battle, even then, they don't have the black carapace and no genetic enhancements so they're between a guardsman and a marine in terms of things.

Also i'd screw up the phrase "battle brothers"
2. It's being made by a company who previously made bionicle, i doubt they can best capture the grimdark and ultraviolent nature of Space Marines..
The same guy that directed Titanic made Terminator While I'm somewhat doubtful on the quality that this will deliver, I think a strong script (Although I'm very much more doubtful about that) could bring together a vast and deep backstory that would make a small gem of a film
I hope they do this right, I want grit, I want blood, I want guts, I want the heads of those who challenge the Emperor! Seriously though there better be some intense battles and shit.
WANT NAO. Well... Unless it's like bionicle. That got really cheesy after the first couple generations and same happened to their movies. If it's something like the game trailers though, I'd watch it gladly.
someone knows their stuff. Also i'd screw up the phrase "battle brothers"
Of course I do, at least on the Imperial side of things, I near enough live and breathe it.
I'm hoping this'll be pretty good. If it's anything like the original Dawn of War game intro trailer, I'll be happy :V

But I'm not going to judge too much if I haven't seen anything yet.
It's going to be awesome, but where my Dark Angels baby? and Space Wolves. :awesomelon:
