It's going to turn out that the Emperor never actually died and he's going to appear and summon the entire might of the Imperium of Man to kill every single alien in the god damn galaxy!

It's AWESOME.

Ehhhh. To be honest the game is more cheesy than awesome.
I mean you really have to adapt to a warrior sect actually being called the "space marines".
I mean, are they really the marines in space? Do you really need to specify they're in space? Not to say I don't enjoy the lore myself, but it's still kind of silly.
Really? Your argument that it is cheesy is that they are called "space marines" rather than just "marines?"
[editline]03:23AM[/editline]
Wait what? Greatest of them all is the Ultramarines? I'm pretty sure the Space Wolves would kick the Ultramarine's asses up and down their planet and still have time to go hunting Krakens on their homeworld.
Oh, you're right. The Ultramarines have only ever fought one Kraken.
You know, like, the fucking hive fleet.

How's "Adeptus Astartes" or "Angels of Death".

Space Wolves are space vikings.
You know, vikings. In space.
[editline]01:31AM[/editline]
With chainswords.
[editline]01:31AM[/editline]
And automatic rocket launchers.
[editline]01:31AM[/editline]
They're also vikings.

Vikings are cool. Space marines are cool. Viking space marines are just silly.

Also Marneus Calgar is half robot.
Point is, SMurfs are overdone.
Movie should be about Black Templars or cheese marines or the space bikers.
I wonder if they will be as omgwtfpwn as they are in the fluff, or if they'll be more like they are in the game.
I wish it wasn't the Ultra Smurfs, they're so bland. Even if you're limited to the original leigons, why not the Space Wolfs? SPACE VIKINGS. Or the Blood Angels? Space Marines driven insane due to inherited memories of Sanguinus getting killed! Or the Salamanders! Do the Salamanders!
Ultramarines are ancient Romans and Greeks in space, the best marksmen and the best fighters, its written in lore as them being the finest chapter in the Imperium. People usually say they're bland without really looking into them, the fact they're Games-Workshops main marketing scheme for marines is this reason.
Once you read their fluff, you notice they are actually incredibily awesome - especially Pre Heresy Ultramarines.

Yeah boooooy, big it up for Ultramarines.

Space marine comes from the fact that they are a strike force, and travel though space. So they are marine in space. Of course their Proper name is Adeptus Astartes. Angels of Death comes from the fact they drop in, slaughter everything, then leave.

Like... AMERICA :P
Oh I'm so fucking witty...
Seriously though, they do kick arse.

Iron Cage incident would be awesome to see as a movie.
I think the Dark Angels would make for a decent movie. They have an interesting dark side.

I just don't see all the love, Gulliman was a bit of a boring Primarch and they're overused, it may be due to their awesomeness, but that's never shown. It's just Ultramarines, if the Imperial fists got all the screen time, well I'd probably whine about that instead.
Bah, I still think that Imperial Guard should have had been the main point of the movie. Unlike Spahes Mahrinees, they got some kind of personality. Space Marines... not so much.
The movie is being made by the bionicle creators? Well Saturday morning cartoons of the ultrasmurfs should be a possibility! :downs:

Space Marines have personalities. Just as much as the guard.
The guard are the ones that don't have personalities, because they are all emotionally scarred from being thrown into the worst combat imaginable.
The marines even play games with one another during combat, like, kill the most enemies and even kill an enemy in a ridiculous way.

Everyone says this, yet the only reason they say it is because GW puts them on the cover art of codex marine stuff. But when every person on the internet confesses their undying boners for Space Wolves, Blood Angels, or Black Templars, no one ever says anything about overdoing it for them. "Space Wolves/Blood Angels/Black Templars can beat everyone!"
If you ask me, those 3 chapters are overdone.

Space Wolves have a excuse, they're badass from the day they're born.

The reason they use Ultramarines is because they're fairly basic. Which makes them easily accessable and easy to understand. They have no focus or special things, which makes them all rounders, and thus they can be used to sum up space marines as a whole. Also because their one of the few morally upright chapters.
Warhammer is nerdier than WoW
The Imperial Guard have to be in the movie.
However, that doesn't mean there'll be an Imperial Guard character of any significance.
So, is there anything to even show that this movie is actually being made or what?
I mean, 35 pages can't just all be speculation... can they?

Well, if they're going to make a Bioshock movie (Not made by Uwe Balls), they can probably make a 40k movie.
needs sum angry marines
I'd like to see some necrons.
:sigh:
