Eh, looks alright. I'd have no issues dishing out $20 for the DVD. And yeah, it's not that bad... Jesus Christ. Give them break. They're a small animation studio for Christ's sake.
Didn't Blur express interest in making a 40k movie back when they did the Dawn of War Intro? Why did Games workshop never take them up on that?
Probably would have been too expensive for something that is a pretty niche thing.
Yeah the problem is while the Dawn of War intros are brilliant, they're only a few minutes long and to render an entire movie with so many effects at such amazing quality will not only take ages, it will also cost a fortune.
Yeah. The funny thing about Warhammer Online is (and this is actually fact) the reason the game flopped so much is because they spent 5 years making the fucking awesome intro video, then realised that they were actually supposed to be making a game and bashed out WAR in a year.

Can't really say the trailer makes me want to watch it.
WAR flopped? Huh?
WAR flopped? Huh?
Not really
I see nothing wrong with the trailer. Looks good to me. [editline]07:42AM[/editline] As long as the animations are smooth. [editline]07:42AM[/editline]
WAR flopped? Huh?
They probably mean the quality wasn't so great, not that the game didn't sell.
Man, I was expecting a bloody live action movie like the originals, not this!
It's either this or fat guys in cardboard space marine suits. Or both combined into one. Pick.
Looks pretty damn bad. I really wanted this to be good, but it's not very pretty and the voice acting sounds crap (the old guy talking, not the intro speech).
Yeah I meant didn't do as well as expected. It started off good but I'm not sure what the number of subscribers is at now.
Well as long as the movie has Imperial Guard in it. I'll be happy. Well it better not be some solo guard units. I want to see the human wave with commissars exerting their power on guardsmen.

Imperial Fists, I somehow doubt that guardsmen are going to have much if any screen time.
Oh man..this better be WAY more better the shown in the trailer

What I posted was actually extra bits from a 40K movie shown at GW in the 90's, the actual movie was about Dark Angels and Chaos, the extra bit also included Deathwatch Capturing a Chaos Ork (or Ork) Boss.
The trailer isn't that bad, I'll still see it regardless The only thing laughable about the trailer was the music, it sounds like it's going. "BLAH BLAH ASTARTES." at some points.

Well I convinced they are fighting chaos because i cant fathom what else would cause such a huge hole in the guy but a heavy bolter round.
Ultramarines: The Movie, Feat. Imperial Fists, I somehow doubt that guardsmen are going to have much if any screen time.
Space Marines fighting with guardsmen. Just a little human wave action and I'll be content :< gees Like maybe a big ass daemon gets taken down by tons of lasgun fire and then a chaos sorc kills tons of guardsmen with a fireball or something and then space marines come in and chop the sorc up with a good ol' chain sword.
You will enjoy them, especially Gaunts Ghosts. brilliant series.
TRUE! the conversation between Corbec and Larkin in the 2nd book "Oh no, pysker warp stuff, very bad" "FOR FETH'S SAKE LARKIN! stop saying that! it's bad for moral" "dont worry sir, my com-link was off" "yeah, but I could hear you, and your scaring the shit out of me!" (something like that) I have tales of heresy, the first 2 gaunt's ghost anthologie(the founding, and the saint) and brother's of the snake, (as you can see, I LOVE dan abnett) [editline]09:32PM[/editline] I want FUCKING SPACE WOLVES!
Probably would have been too expensive for something that is a pretty niche thing.
Games Workshop is swimming in money. [editline]06:33PM[/editline]
Well I convinced they are fighting chaos because i cant fathom what else would cause such a huge hole in the guy but a heavy bolter round.
One of the marines that apparently gets shot is actually getting hit with a flying power maul or a thunder hammer. I think Imperium and Chaos warbands are the only forces to actually field any type of blunt power weapon.
Games Workshop is swimming in money.
Actually, they aren't.
Like maybe a big ass daemon gets taken down by tons of lasgun fire
Tabletop wise, maybe, fluff wise? Hell naw. Taking Gaunts Ghosts as an example, whose members are, in the scheme of things, pretty damn elite with what they can do and when they saw a Daemon, they shat themselves and had to call down an orbital strike on it.

I'm pretty sure Corbec was there, meaning his company or at least a couple of platoons were there. [sp]There were also more than 2 bluebloods there and to be fair, Gaunt did have a Deus Ex Machina with him that he used to shut it down.[/sp] My point was, shining a lot of flashights at a daemon is going to do nothing but get him even more annoyed.

Let's get Pixar to make a 40k movie.
