My first job is pretty cool (Not my actual first job. I worked at a restaurant and some shitty call center but I dont count those). I Work at home for a company called telenetwork https://www.telenetwork.com/
I get paid $9 an hour base pay but I do well enough in sales that I make about $700 in bonuses every 2 weeks + my normal pay. So roughly 3k a month (+ benefits) with nothing but a highschool degree and a computer
apply here if you're in one of their WAH states https://www.telenetwork.com/careers/
sell weed real talk
UK Child labour laws are somewhat retarded though, you can't work after 7pm (what??), can't work more than 2 hours Mon-Fri and Sunday and on Saturday you're allowed 8 hours. In the holidays you are meant to also take a 2 week break
Try warehouses, I work for an agency and they took me on without even needing an interview. Just signed a few forms and they said to turn up the next day at the warehouse and I just started working. It sucks though, hours are lame, overtime is VERY common.
Don't go to walmart lol. I've worked there for roughly two weeks now, I just got home after being there for 12 hours straight, not my first time staying late. I stayed 45 minutes late another time to. To be fair though, both were because I chose to stay, but today sucked so bad. Everyone takes or had today off, and 3 of us working are still new, had managers on our asses and bribing us by saying she would buy us ice cream or buy a radio to listen to while we unload trucks. Unloading trucks sucks, I never want to unload 2 trucks again, but it will happen. Walmarts been my first job, been here for almost 2 weeks like I said, work full time. I bit off a lot but I've been chewin' it pretty good, but it still sucks.
And, today was so hectic we got to lunch an hour later than usual and we didn't get our usual breaks, I think I only got about 2 15 minute ones.
Imagine unloading trucks for at least 8 hours a day, and that's my job. Sometimes it goes to 12 hours, which is pure hell but the pay's good and it's only a summer job so I'm okay with it.
If you find that you don't have any references, people who can vouch for you, try some volunteer work.
The salvation army or something like that. When you're done volunteering for them you can ask them if you can note them down as references to bring with you on your interview.
Always write that references are available on request.
