Best electrohouse group ever: Designer Drugs The Bloody Beetroots MSTRKRFT [editline]25th January 2011[/editline] Or for a traditional band, take Chris Adler from Lamb of God (my most enjoyable drummer ever) and throw him in along with Russian Circles (including their drummer) and have post metal with ungodly sexy drumming.
Lead Guitar/Vocals: Dave Mustaine (Megadeth) Rhythm Guitar/Vocals: James Hetfield (Metallica) Bass Guitar: John Myung (Dream Theater) Drums: Scott Travis (Judas Priest)
Vocals - Ian Kenny of Karnivool and Birds of Tokyo Lead Guitar - Alexi Laiho of Children of Bodom Rhythm Guitar - Wille Adler of Lamb of God Bass - Chris Wolstenholme of Muse Drums - Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters Wishful thinking.
That'd be an interesting band. I'm just thinking of how the harsh CoB leads would copulate with the LoG grooves. I think I like it. :unsmith:
My fantasy combinations come complete with fantasy names Isometric Guitarist/Vocalist: Aaron Turner Lead guitar: Paul Wagoner Bass guitar: Nick Oliveri Drums: Lyle Cooper. Tempted to say Brant Bjork because his drum sound is part of Oliveri's bass sound. Down and Strungout Vox: Dax Riggs Guitar: Pepper Keenan Bass: Tim Bragshaw Drums: Joey LaCaze
Vocals - Mikko Kotamäki from Swallow The Sun, this guy is fucking brilliant. Guitars - Jari Mäenpää and Adam Jones from Wintersun and Tool respectively. I reckon they'd make some great riffs together. Bass - John Campbell from Lamb of God. Plays some of the sickest bass grooves. Drums - Danny Carey or Tomas Haake from Tool and Meshuggah. Able to play complicated music and groovy music.

Completely impractical to ever fit onto a stage but holy FUCK would this be the most awesome group ever.
That's nothing but a list of skilled musicians :geno:
That is a big band IT would be too much unless WE PIONEER CLASSICAL STYLE PROG METAL like the 40-100 people thing that orchestras have :v:
Orchestral metal
That's nothing but a list of skilled musicians :geno:
thats what most of these lists end up being which is why supergroups dont work: the most important thing is how musicians play together, not how skilled they are lightning in a bottle, son!
Vocals: Maynard James Keenan from Tool Guitars: Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin, Robert Fripp from King Crimson Bass: Chris Squire from Yes Drums: Danny Carey from Tool Please?
Vocals: Ronnie James Dio Guitar: Robin Trower Drums: Neil Peart Bass: Les Claypool
Vocals: Maynard James Keenan from Tool Guitars: Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin, Robert Fripp from King Crimson Bass: Chris Squire from Yes Drums: Danny Carey from Tool Please?
This could well be the recipe for pure, undescribable win.
Ronnie James Dio - Lead Vocals Dimebag Darrell - Guitar, Backing Vocals Chuck Shuldiner - Guitar, Backing Vocals Cliff Burton - Bass, Backing Vocals Gar Samuelson - Drums, Percussions
This could well be the recipe for pure, undescribable win.
And I forgot Keith Emerson for keyboards.
Vocals: Spencer Sotelo (Periphery) Guitar: Tosin Abasi (Animals as Leaders) Guitar: Misha Mansoor (Periphery) Guitar: Fredrik Thordendal (Meshuggah) Bass Guitar: Danny Hauser (Veil of Maya) Drums: Navene Koperweis (Animals as Leaders)
Ronnie James Dio - Lead Vocals Dimebag Darrell - Guitar, Backing Vocals Chuck Shuldiner - Guitar, Backing Vocals Cliff Burton - Bass, Backing Vocals Gar Samuelson - Drums, Percussions
If only such a recording could ever exist. And if it did, I would want it played at every single bar in the world. Dio for the epic, Dime for the metal, Chuck because it's fucking Chuck Schuldiner for christ's sake, Cliff for the epic grooves. I honestly don't know who Gar Samuelson is, but it really doesn't matter at this point, the band is made of automatic win. It'd be like Pantera, but better.
thats what most of these lists end up being which is why supergroups dont work: the most important thing is how musicians play together, not how skilled they are lightning in a bottle, son!
My two on the last page take that into account. :3:
Guitar/vocals: Mikael Akerfeldt Guitar/vocals: Chuck Schuldiner and/or Joe DuPlantier Bass: Steve DiGiorgio Drums: Mario DuPlantier
Vocals: James Hetfield and James LaBrie. Guitar: Zakk Wylde Bass: Les Claypool Drums: Mike Portnoy
Vocals: James Hetfield and James LaBrie. Guitar: Zakk Wylde Bass: Les Claypool Drums: Mike Portnoy
Just in guitar and bass you have so many clashing sounds that it would become a wall of noise.
Vocals: Robert Plant Lead guitar: Brian May Bass: Jack Bruce Drums: Mitch Mitchell (I don't care he's departed :saddowns:) Keyboards: Rick Wakeman.
