Science is only one way of doing that, though. Not really a rebuttal, I just don't understand why people talk about STEM like that. Then again, Aspen came on a picture of Autumn and posted it on this forum.

Then again, Aspen came on a picture of Autumn and posted it on this forum.
(This isn't really directed at you TPain, more bouncing off of what you said) No trust me I think doing STEM stuff is great, a degree is a very personal thing that reflects what an individual is passionate about. Education, especially at the higher levels, is about learning something to share with the world - to carry with you and teach, and in a lot of cases that means applying whatever it is you learned in some capacity. Education should never be about the money, while getting lots of money for whatever you enjoy doing is great (and I certainly wouldn't turn it down if it was offered), it shouldn't be the end goal of why someone is getting an Education. You should be getting an Education to better yourself in someway, to once again, learn something and be able to share that thing with the world. Personally, I feel attitudes like Aspen's are a result of (at least in the US) less and less emphasis being placed on the humanities on younger kids, and more focus being placed on the hard sciences like chemistry and math. I can remember hearing god knows how many stories of schools cutting language programs, or music programs, or art programs simply because their science and math scores weren't up to snuff. I have a feeling that's where a lot of that attitude stems. Like I said, I harbor no ill feelings towards someone who does go into a STEM degree, why should I? It's their education and what they want to do, what they want to learn about and share with the world. Yet I don't really have a full understanding of why some who decide to pursue STEM degrees feel that way about those who don't. A few weeks back I remember a poster saying here on FP that he wants a Bachelor of Science as opposed to a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences/Bachelor of Arts degree because he doesn't want the word "Art" on it as if it's a dirty word. You know, I look to my bookshelf and it's adorned with Anthropology textbooks and a plethora of of books military history - and as a subcategory of that they're largely on WWI. My lifelong dream has been to be an Archeologist, and more specifically I've come to realize that I want to be a Battlefield Archeologist for WWI. Names like Verdun, Tannenburg, Isonso, The Marne - all names of locations that are forever etched into my memory; and that's what I have to share with the world. The memory of those battles and men and places to be kept alive that much longer.

I think foot fetishes are disgusting and can't understand in the slightest why so many people have them
I think foot fetishes are disgusting and can't understand in the slightest why so many people have them
Kinda the least likely attractive part of someone I can think of offhand
I think foot fetishes are disgusting and can't understand in the slightest why so many people have them
Not when the person is wearing thigh-highs or pantyhose.
dubs p chill actually youre just being an ass [editline]28th May 2015[/editline] not surprised
How am I being the ass :v:
I think foot fetishes are disgusting and can't understand in the slightest why so many people have them
One of my exes was really into that, but now I consider myself tainted for even journeying into that realm
I think foot fetishes are disgusting and can't understand in the slightest why so many people have them
I can understand why people would like it and I think some low-key foot fetishism is pretty good. Fetishes don't always make sense, but as long as it's not harmful or unsafe, why make a big deal out of it?
Nobody was making a big deal out of it?
I think foot fetishes are disgusting and can't understand in the slightest why so many people have them
I've read somewhere (dunno where so this might be horseshit) that people are more likely to be attracted to parts of the body where it differs between the sexes, genitals being the most obvious

There are far more disgusting fetishes out there than just feet, some are even dangerous. (like scat, I just can't fathom why someone would find shit erotic)
I've read somewhere (dunno where so this might be horseshit) that people are more likely to be attracted to parts of the body where it differs between the sexes, genitals being the most obvious
That's like, everything, though.
check yoyr previous posts
dude read them, I was fine till dub was trying to start shit? Seriously, read them
I think foot fetishes are disgusting and can't understand in the slightest why so many people have them
Why do people have tits and ass fetishes? We as a society should dedicate more resources into figuring out fetishes.
Sorta related but on topic, making fun of a person over a fetish is childish.
Yeah, as long as your fetish doesn't hurt or endanger anyone, then whatever man.
What if their fetish is being made fun of
what if someones fetish is being made fun of for being made fun of there's a fetish for everything, isn't there?
What if their fetish is being made fun of
There's that dude on /v/ who spilled his juice to tile patterns and assumed that a lot of people shared the same fetish.
Sorta related but on topic, making fun of a person over a fetish is childish.
If a person keeps shoving his/her fetish on my face pretty much everywhere on the Internet I'll reserve for myself the right to tell him/her, with the due politeness and tact, to fuck off
If a person keeps shoving his/her fetish on my face pretty much everywhere on the Internet I'll reserve for myself the right to tell him/her, with the due politeness and tact, to fuck off
That's different, though. If they're shoving it in your face constantly, then they're being an asshole. If you find someone has a foot fetish or hair fetish or whatever and start making fun of them for it, that's childish. Telling someone off for being a jackass is totally fine.
If a person keeps shoving his/her fetish on my face pretty much everywhere on the Internet I'll reserve for myself the right to tell him/her, with the due politeness and tact, to fuck off
and you have every right to, since that shit's just uncalled for, but I see a lot of people look at inflation porn or some shit and say something like that, when they were the ones who looked it up. Or checked the DA's newest page, but that still isn't them shoving it in your face. (I'm not talking about you tho, you just reminded me of something I wanted to add)
But what I don't understand is, what is the hype about feet? It is quite a popular fetish but why is that, I mean if you like it you like it, but why? What's so good about it? Its a fucking foot :v:

Foot Fetish is also in the gay community too, so its not like its just a thing for womens feet and straight people. Theres some weird community on DeviantArt that love big fat knees and draw pictures of cartoon people with like growths on their knees. Its bloody weird.
Star Wars is just "OK." Not great. Just "OK."
Of course i know it doesn't stack up as well to modern films, and I think its because sci-fi is so underserved, that fans latch onto anything with a modicum of success.
I agree, those big trilogy films are just alright, nothing amazing. But then again im really not a fan of LOTR or HP for that matter. They just aren't my thing
