I find cars really boring and don't see the interest in them.
I drive and yeah would be nice to have a decent car, but only for it to actually get me from a to b.
I really think its such a pointless thing to get your car lowered or to ad a spoiler in the back or a really obnoxious exhaust thats louder than a thunderstorm.
Such a waste
Really my interest ends after having a nice car in good condition. Maybe with some slight aesthetic mods, but it depends. I really couldn't talk about them for hours on end like several family members could.
I can hardly fathom how people enjoy driving. I can't wait until self-driving cars are widespread. Comfort and free time while on my way to somewhere? Yes please.
You might find this funny, but I actually DO enjoy the act of driving, as long as there's not too much traffic/terrible drivers. It's nice to chill out, drive fast, listen to music etc. I just don't understanding obsessing over the details of fast cars, modding/souping up cars etc.
All mobas really ought to adopt a model like dota 2, where you have all champions/heroes/whatever at the beginning, and you monetize to get skins and stuff.
Dude, don't diss on anime here, you'll get mutilated.
I haven't enjoyed anime since I was fifteen years old.
fight me boyos, you can't stop my wizardly powers
Holy fuck people who do nothing but talk about the nitty gritty of their cars drive me crazy.
"Oh man, this one has X amount of horsepower and 180x blablablabla"
I feel so stupid with how over my head shit like this is.
I hate it when I get dragged into car conversations and someone asks me what car would I drive.
I literally don't care. I hate answering these kind of questions because there's a 70% chance the asshole does not approve of my answer and delivers a rant about why car manufacturer X's cars are godawful and why nobody should drive them, how their horsepowers are inferior and how they lack that super kaplowy feature that increases the amount of me not giving a single fuck.
Anime is shit
The more I talk to people about driving the more I feel that enjoying driving is the unpopular opinion. I'm the only person I know other than my dad who enjoys it.
I don't even really like cars all that much but I fucking love driving, especially getting on the highway and picking up some speed with the windows down and a song like this blasting out of my speakers.

There's no feeling of freedom like it, being able to go wherever you want on your own terms, by your own volition. The car is an extension of you and it's such a cool and liberating feeling, not being tied to anyone or any place (as long as you've got gas). I don't want to see self driving cars become the norm for that reason, they'd drown out drivers and i foresee drivers being outlawed on places like the Highway (aka one of the most fun places to drive).
Seano was/is a jackass who only went around and harassed people and went out of his way to be a creepy fucker.
If anyone else did the shit that he got away with, they'd be banned in an instant.
I really hate the In-N-Out circlejerk. It's just a goddamn burger, and some not-so-secret menu is not going to make it any more of a special snowflake.
The English actually make some really good food, but for some unfathomable reason they more commonly favor the tasteless shite that others discredit them for.
wait, who exactly did he stalk? I must've missed something
He didn't stalk anyone, he just constantly shitposted and would always insert himself into threads that involved women so he could make a stupid comment

And that just seems fine to me. Going somewhere new, try something new.
I'm more or less talking about the people who praise it to an obnoxious level like bacon.
I can't see why people would ever be against self driving cars.
Literally every argument I've seen against them is "I hate change wahh!"
McDonalds dollar menu tastes fine.
"Pretentious" is such an overused word, it's pretty much losing its meaning by now. The definition of "Pretentious" is a thing that claims to be important, but isn't. People call anything they don't like that's even slightly artsy "Pretentious" now, even if it's just meant to be artistic and doesn't have an inflated ego like the definition dictates.
Yes, I know, languages evolve, but it just gets on my nerve to see people say shit like "Life Is Strange is pretentious!". No, it isn't, you just don't like it and can't find a way to articulate why. There are reasons to criticize it that don't involve repeating the same word everyone else uses.
Another definition for Pretentious is something that's intended to impress others, but I never see people use it in that context.

Well for me personally I see driving as a time to wind down. After you've been driving for a while, everything about driving becomes subconscious. You don't have to deliberately think about regularly checking your mirrors, position on road, viewing the conditions both close and far ahead, the gap between you and the car infront, or even look at the speedometer too often. You just naturally do it. Then you can put on the radio or a CD and it just helps you relax. It's far more relaxing than sitting down and looking at a tiny ass phone screen or reading a book.
I'm not against self-driving cars but I do enjoy driving.
It upsets me when I criticise an element of story, and sometimes even an artistic liberty, in a fantasy, and then someone tells me It's a fantasy make believe with dragons and magic so I should shut up. No, the magic and that universe doesn't mean that anything can happen. Having dragons doesn't mean you can put in as many plot conveniences, holes and other nonsense into it, not without being pretty self aware of it at least.
So, if you're going all out, things are fine. But if you're going to ground anything at all then you should be fair game for targeting.

I'm fairly certain Hawaii is actually a state not a pizza. I won't stop you from trying to eat it if you really want to try though.

The proximity to the equator really cooks the soil well imo and makes it succulent as hell.

How about the fact that the Google cars have no physical ways of controlling them? No steering wheel, pedals, clutches, nothing. Basically there's no manual override in them should something go wrong.
And a 25 MPH limit? You're better off patrolling the suburbs in those things instead of cruising the highway.

Sort of related:
Needlessly creating a thesaurus to go through always struck me as asinine and pretentious. Yes, by all means, create a few specific phrases/words for immersion, particularly if you can somehow tie them into the everyday workings of the world, but for fucks sake, you don't need to call every normal piece of equipment, and every third action by some magical made up set of names.
You might as well write the whole damn thing in klingon at that point.
Can I keep on going on about cars? Haha I'm not sick of it yet, and I'm afraid of posting this in the automotive addicts thread or anywhere where TestECull may see.
I just don't like how hybrids are seen as a bad thing. I reckon hybrids are fantastic ideas and they are the future of automobiles, at least those with combustion engines. Like, the best thing about them is that instead of when they brake and use the friction brakes on the wheels to slow the car down (of course they still need friction brakes), wasting away so much potential energy as heat, the electric motor(s) run as generators and store that energy so it can be used again later. And yeah on the storage, it doesn't necessarily have to be in chemical batteries, flywheel storage is a thing that is being researched.
And there's also the image of a hybrid being something like a Toyota Prius or other hatchback. There's nothing stopping manufacturers from making hybrid V8 sedans, and many sports and supercars already have hybrid systems these days. They save fuel and increase performance, what's not to like about that?
Spending $200 for some guy's character because you find him entertaining and wanted to be a part of the circlejerk is a waste of money.
