I'm not a huge fan of anything chocolate in general.
you said that people have no reason to dislike it, that's silly. People can find reasons to dislike anything
that's true, i wasn't really paying attention to my wording. my bad.
League of Legends is a good game and people have no real reason to dislike it. So many people have the attitude of "lol league of legends is shit" and when I actually ask them to give me a reason why they have no actual arguments against it, it's just trendy to dislike it because it's popular as hell.
Okay. Time to listen some reasons why I dislike LoL off the top of my head (though I play it with my friends anyway)
-There is no choice in summoner spells, you are considered throwing if you don't take flash (sometimes, IF you're playing a tank, then taking ghost is acceptable).
-Runes are not a "different way to play", they're a straight-up stat boost that you get if you've been playing for a while, and are required for high-level play, necessitating grind.
-Many skins are gaudy as hell, that one arcade Miss Fortune skin I remember being particularly bad with all the flashing pink everywhere.
-Adobe AIR is a completely shit client, general connectivity, crashes, bugs, and the spectator client are all considerably more problematic than Dota
-Meta is set in concrete. This is something that is very noticeable if you play another moba where this isn't the case (dota)
-Design philosophy of champions as well as a dumb tendency to keep things simple for the casuals has led to incredibly homogenized champion kits.
There are more, I'd have to think about them, and this is coming from someone who has a lot of hours in mobas. I'm not disliking it because that's "trendy", I'm disliking it because there are genuine reasons to dislike it because it's poorly made in many aspects.
As someone who has played LoL for 4 years I don't disagree with you entirely but I still have to say:
-There is no choice in summoner spells, you are considered throwing if you don't take flash (sometimes, IF you're playing a tank, then taking ghost is acceptable).
There is definitely a choice. If people say you're trolling, who cares? You can mute them, and if you do well they'll probably shut up anyway.
-Runes are not a "different way to play", they're a straight-up stat boost that you get if you've been playing for a while, and are required for high-level play, necessitating grind.
I agree with this, I think Riot went wrong when they decided to make 3 different "classes" of runes, so you can't really choose to go all out defense or offense, you HAVE to pick a balanced set or else your rune pages are just gonna be sub-par
-Adobe AIR is a completely shit client, general connectivity, crashes, bugs, and the spectator client are all considerably more problematic than Dota
They're planning on changing that (I don't know when, I don't even know if they already did actually)
-Meta is set in concrete. This is something that is very noticeable if you play another moba where this isn't the case (dota)
I've been called out for my builds or playstyle plenty of times in Dota, I get that it might be worse in LoL, but it's definitely not by much. Just like with the summoner spells, you can play any way you want, nobody's going to ban you for experimental builds unless you're purposefully trolling, and again, if people annoy you just ignore them, and they won't give you shit if you're doing well.
-Design philosophy of champions as well as a dumb tendency to keep things simple for the casuals has led to incredibly homogenized champion kits.
I see this brought up a lot, but from what I gather, Riot has actually improved a lot when it comes to champion design. A lot of the old, boring champions got reworked to be more interesting and even more difficult, and the new ones are pretty dynamic. The "casual" thing is brought up way too often, too, and I can't remember the last time I've actually seen Riot change anything to make it more simple or to appeal to new players

I was talking about people who have never played league of legends.

I live in a low-income predominantly mexican area and I can confirm we got the hook-up, only thing that sucks about it is that all the undocumented drivers around here are shit and probably couldn't get a licence even if they were legal
edit unpopular opinion: GTA IV best GTA
I don't care when dogs die in movies
GTA V has great graphics and an impressive amount of detail but the gameplay and controls feel like they were clunkily put together
And the physics are the wonkiest I've ever seen in a game.
I don't care when dogs die in movies
that futurama episode with fry's dog isn't even sad and all I see are a bunch of overly emotional men crying about it all the time.
I think people are too cynical. I think the majority of people are inherently good, even if they've shown some moral weakness. I also think that while there are unspeakable horrors in the world, being stuck on them is pointless if you're not actively trying to prevent them. But in order to actively try to prevent them and have vigilance, you need to have hope, which requires some level of positivity.

I'm not really that well read into champion design these days, but way back when, Warwick was going to have Bloodseeker's ult (if you move, you take damage), but they took that away because of "burden of knowledge". TF's global teleport was also changed to his ult (and made not-global if I remember correctly), Lux's ult was originally going to be Mirana's (turns your team invisible), and mana burn was removed entirely (wit's end used to burn mana).
But enough about LoL, here's an unpopular opinion.
Valve is still one of the best AAA companies in the business. Incompetent and lazy in many aspects, but I would rather them at the reins of Steam than any other AAA except for maybe CDProjektRed
My opinion about about LGBT told in anecdote form.
— What's that ruckus on the street, Barrymore?
— This is gay-parade, sir.
— So what do they want, Barrymore?
— Same-sex love, sir.
— Somebody denies them this?
— No, sir.
— So bloody why all this ruckus?!
— ...That's why they are faggots, sir.

Good job. You're not only wrong (see your flagdog for a perfect example) but you came across in a way that made you sound like a completely pretentious asshole as well. Ignoring the bit where you're wrong you could at least have made an attempt at making your point better.

You can't say LGBT people aren't oppressed or discriminated against and then call them faggots lmao
I don't know if it's unpopular here but in my city it is.
Casual sex is A-OK.

I think for the next year or so Russian FPers are just going to be the ass end of every joke every time one of them makes a dumbass post like that
(especially considering the recent dealings with Russia stealing Crimea, the war in Ukraine, making homosexuality illegal, etc etc)

"unpopular"
A lot of these opinions are seriously unpopular, depending on who you're talking to. Example, if you have a pretty close-minded/bigoted/conservative family, saying something like that around them will probably get you disowned, all while they enjoy their beer, hard liquor, and the occasional joint they smoke with their friends.
Unpopular opinion amongst Facepunch in general: Five Nights at Freddy's is a wicked good game.
Unpopular opinion amongst 5N@F fans: Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is a shitty game.
Five nights 1 is actually pretty nailed down when it comes to the scary ambience. The second one is more about the challenge instead of the scares. And also I think Five Nights 2 was supposed to have a more melancholic tone as opposed the first game.

Hey starlight why are you so adamantly opposed to any legalization of drugs, even tame drugs like marijuana?
I loved BioShock Infinite.. I mean yeah the gameplay was dumbed down, but I really liked the story.
i hated the story in bioshock infinite, but i actually really liked the gameplay. lots of mobility and really satisfying weapons and powers, but i think the plot was a bit.... too much?

I loved the plot and I thought that the gameplay clashed too much with it.

I think Far cry 2 is inferior in every way to the others. No sir I dont want to fight through that checkpoint full of guards i just blew up three minutes ago again while the screen pulsates green because i'm out of malaria pills. Also the guns are weak and dont seem to feel right at all
