People say the imperial measurement system is bad because it's arbitrarily built, but technically speaking the metric system is just as arbitrary. The only thing that makes it "better" is that the numbers all match up to each other in orders of 10, 100, 1000, etc.
And even then, neither system is objectively good or bad. They have their uses and nobody is inherently right or wrong by using one or the other.
isn't metric system connected to the SI system
Winrar is better than 7zip
why?
Because 7zip sucks
what about peazip then?
last I remembered I didn't like how 7zip functioned a bit differently from winrar, but peazip works pretty much the same, and is FOSS
I'm not a huge fan of Boyhood that was very boring fucking movie I have seen in awhile

When you read 0.57m you know straight away that it's 57cm (or 570mm). When you read 0.57ft you need to actually compute 0.57*12 to know the length in inches.
A decimal measurement system is objectively more convenient because we use a base 10 numeral system.

You frequent the 'rate the last movie you watched' thread, why do you think that's an unpopular opinion?
Jesus christ you guys manage to bring up the imperial/metric discussion every ten pages
small boobs are better than large boobs

not nearly as much as the fallout 3/skyrim discussions

Exactly, the metric system is superior.
the best pixar movie is monster's inc by far

Doesn't beat the tired fucking "I don't like cars/driving" conversations.
Jon Stewart really isn't entertaining, most of his "jokes" just amount to him being elitist and expecting you to laugh at the people he's being elitist towards, it's just cringeworthy.
On the other hand people seem to be certain that everything always remain of constant quality and thinking otherwise makes you a "le wrong generation" kid.
It's not like you can objectively measure the quality of art anyway, so I don't get why someone who thinks music from the 1980s is better than music from the 2010s or that movies from the 1990s are better than movies from the 1960s would be automatically wrong.
A bit of a late reply, but there's nothing wrong with preferring older decades' television, films, and music. Decades do have their trends and flavors after all. I don't feel bad in saying that horror films produced in the 70s and 80s on average are superior to horror films produced in the last and this current decade. That was before the genre became a cheap money-making gutter pot. Cheap horror has always existed, and there are hidden modern gems. But now it's exceedingly rare for wide-release horror films to have real directors and cinematographers attracted to the project. And also because of the use of practical effects back then, compared to CGI now.
But keep in mind that the original comment we're responding to is, "Most movies, music, and TV shows in these recent years really suck," which really doesn't say anything at all.
I never really understood people who were into the Fable series.
The first game was fun, no doubt, but the rest just kinda felt like carbon copies. Child area, werewolf area, gladiator area, mystical ending area, etc
I know it's way too early for me to say this, but I think TaleWorlds should consider a game about Calradian mythology.
Prison should focus more on helping it's inmates instead of punishing them (but that should still come into play).

The Second one was really good too.
But lets not talk about the Kinect one. That one doesn't exist in my eyes.
I think that capital punishment is a big waste of time and money, not to mention that it doesn't help with anything.
Its like that guy that stole 1 dollar from a bank, just to be thrown back in Prison because he has no life outside of it and he gets looked after a lot better in there then he does once hes out.
Capital punishment would be interesting if it were a voluntary alternative to life imprisonment.
Then again, I think the judicial system is overly complicated in all countries just to make sure that lawyers have jobs and that the rich have a significant advantage over the poor in court cases. Really, you should probably be sentencing people by how much of a cunt they've been, and how much of a cunt they're likely to be in future.

Might as well just legalize euthanasia then, you'd hit two birds with one stone.
God of War III was a huge letdown and I do believe it's the reason the series died shortly after
Currently replaying Batman: Arkham Origins and I'll be damned if the game isn't the best example of "two steps forward, three steps back". They made the city bigger, got a nice winter atmosphere, a great soundtrack, generally unchanged gameplay (if it ain't broke, don't fix it), but man are the villains fucking awful. They took my favorite villain, The Riddler, and stripped him of the only thing that, in my opinion, made his appearances fun in the past game, his riddles. They tried to be unique so they made Copperhead into a female, but surprise, her actual boss fight is trash, same with most of the bosses. Firefly could have been fucking incredible! Imagine if the fight spanned across the whole Gotham Pioneer's Bridge, going from one side to another, maybe having utilize The Batclaw to take him down or something, but nope, just a boring as shit fight on the ground. And who the fuck is Shiva?! Could you have picked someone more boring than her? I'm trying really hard to like this game since, but damn is it hard when it's problems are so glaring and could have been so easily fixed.
Farting isn't disgusting if its affecting comfortability.
As long as you're not like aiming it at anyone and you know it isn't going to be a massive stinker.
Max Payne 3 was a really good game in terms of gameplay, technology and a few levels ( The New York ones ) but a really shitty effort in terms of plot, characters and pretty much everything else. Hell, I actually kinda struggle to call it an actual Max Payne game.
